Here is a size comparison for my 38mm. The bf and I went to the beach today, so here is a picture of our watches sunning on a beach towel :rofl: I'm such a dork. In case you can't tell from the pic, his is an LE Rolex submariner. My watch is basically as large as his.

I hope you decide to stretch it out and get the bezel, I swear you will NOT regret it, you cant tell too much from these pics but its RADIANT in the sun.

I have been thinking, maybe I should get a Roadster for NOW, and get the J12 with the diamond bezel later...:heart:

^That would be a good idea. I think the diamond bezel is totally worth the wait. I'm actually thinking of adding the diamond bracelet to mine soon, but I'm not sure if I should add it to my black or my white. My black actually has more diamonds so I'm not sure it needs the bracelet just yet. It never ends!

Plus, and I dont think I mentioned this before, there is something special about the Chanel numbers. They are slightly raised and are beautiful to look at when they cast slight shadows depending on where the sun is shining on it. Its not like the cheap looking flat numbers. Thats the one of the first things I appreciated about the watch when I first got into j12s.

Yes I love the numbers too! I also love the "face" which is slightly shimmery on the white J12s. There are so many small details that make the J12 very luxurious. Mine doesn't have any diamonds (I feel that I am way too young to wear daily bling) and still I feel that it upgrades any casual outfit!

I am 22, which maybe doesn't sound *too* young, but I am not a blingy person... I LOVE diamonds like every other girl but don't think I could pull off the diamond bezel just yet. However in a couple of years I'd love to get another J12, a black one, either with the diamond markers or bezel ;)

Hmm..Im still torn........

I love both the Roadster and the J12, pretty sure Ill get both eventually. But the question is which one to get first??? I just finished my exam today (Yay~~:yahoo:), and I'll go check out both watches over the weekend or next week:graucho::heart:~!

UPDATE!!!!:yahoo:

Went to city today to check out both watches. First stop was the Chanel boutique, as usual, the SAs there were AWFUL, I went in and stood there for 10 mins , two SAs were just standing next me talking:rant:. Anyway, I saw the J12 with diamonds in both black and white, they were BEAUTIFULLLLL, so much prettier (heavier) than I expected. I absolutely love the WHITE, its so cute, the BLACK did stand out to my surprise. The RRP is A$6400. Also tried on the 38mm, it was way too big for my wrists:sweatdrop:.
Next stop was Watches of Switzland store. They had J12 w/o diamonds in stock(will be getting the one with diamonds next week), the price was the same A$6400, the Cartier Roadster was A$5450. :drool:I really love the Roadster too, its slightly bigger than the 33mm J12, a perfect size, very elegant and classy . I got offered 25% for the Cartier Roadster and only 10% for the J12. So the price for the J12 after discount is A$5760, and the Roadster is A$4100.

What should I do??? I'm going back next week....:graucho:

Haven't spoken to you in a while. How's it going? I think the Cartier Roadster is a classic piece. You can't go wrong with either but I'm rooting for Cartier. Good luck! :yes:

I'm still on the j12 side :nuts: Especially if you're being offered a discount! I'm sure w/e you decide will be beautiful though :smile1:

Danae: I was your age when I got my first diamond bezel j12. I just turned 24 now, I feel so old!

Berlyn: I just wish the diamond bezel fit my lifestyle right now, but sadly I'll have to wait a few years (which will give me time to save) and get a black with diamond bezel! :D

bb: I can't help it, being a J12 owner, I am so enamoured with this style, I know that if you get it you'll be more and more happy with it every time you look at it! Was your BF with you? What did he say? They are both elegant IMO, but the J12 has that "edge".

I say no to cheapo band to J12 (sorry berlyn, love the face, hate the band) I say go for Cartier the discount it too good over 1K! (plus you can totally push for $4000 to make in a round number offer cash! BTW did you notice any tanks there and happen to ask the price, i didn't realize the discount was so decent! though i am up in sydney

I will ask for you~;)! Have you seen the J12 IRL? Its actually heavier than the Cartier and the ceremic band doesn't look CHEAP at all:tup::heart:!!!The 25%+ discount seems really appealing, doesn't it:graucho::graucho:???

Hehe~no, I went there myself, but BF will go with me to help me make the final decision next Sunday:p, but I think I'm more leaning towards the white J12 with diamond markers now!!It seems more 'Me' right at this time in my life:heart:~!
