well, I have the pink roadster and its my favorite. I get so many complments on it. Plus I have a very small wrist and it looks big but not too big. The J12 is nice though, I prefer the black. PS- I have a tank too, but it's kinda my "work/church" watch, it's nice, classic but I prefer my roadster.

Too bad the watch store that Im goin to purchase my J12 from doesn't have it in stock at the moment...ush:so I HAVE to wait. I kinda forgot how big the 38mm looked on me...I remember it was pretty HUGE. Also, I forgot to ask for the price...
Is the pricing( in Australia) comparable to US???
In Singapore, it is more expensive ..but compared to Beijing (a saving of S$2100)

Went to city today to check out both watches. First stop was the Chanel boutique, as usual, the SAs there were AWFUL, I went in and stood there for 10 mins , two SAs were just standing next me talking. Anyway, I saw the J12 with diamonds in both black and white, they were BEAUTIFULLLLL, so much prettier (heavier) than I expected. I absolutely love the WHITE, its so cute, the BLACK did stand out to my surprise. The RRP is A$6400. Also tried on the 38mm, it was way too big for my wrists

Next stop was Watches of Switzland store. They had J12 w/o diamonds in stock(will be getting the one with diamonds next week), the price was the same A$6400, the Cartier Roadster was A$5450.I really love the Roadster too, its slightly bigger than the 33mm J12, a perfect size, very elegant and classy . I got offered 25% for the Cartier Roadster and only 10% for the J12. So the price for the J12 after discount is A$5760, and the Roadster is A$4100.
What should I do??? I'm going back next week....
I am dying to see which watch you choose. I think each watch would look fab. on you. I think the black over the white J12...but it could be because Im feeling the winter.
Price wise I would get the roadster. It has the same presige for less money.
Also, this might just be me, but without the diamond ring around the face, the J12 looks like you bought the entry model. But that might just be my opinion because Ive been spoilt here on this site seeing the diamond version, which is what it looks best with imo.
Lastly, do you think the J12 is similar to the Christian Dior Chrystal range?

^ yes, well i do anyway, i like the Dior ones and almost bought one then came to my senses and realized for a few hundred more i could get a cartier, plus they are more fad and i don't want that many sparkles on an everyday watch.

Interesting because I went into the Cartier store with my husband. He wears a suit and has a jewellery shop nearby, Im dressed nicely and wearing significant jewellery......and no one would serve us. My husband wears a rollex...not that that should make a difference. Im just saying that even with us being quite presentable the 2 sales assistants just looked us up and down and we had to call them to help us look at the watches. Even then the girl was so reluctant to say anything like she was wasting her time!!!!!

Yes, a photo wouldnt do it justice. I can imagine that there is still some bling involved!!! And Im not saying that you would want to be diamond encrusted for everyday. Sometimes its not appropriate to have sparkle everywhere. Sometimes you just want a quite watch that doesnt scream out. Not that I own one of those!!!!!
Just to clarify.....I dont own a watch with any diamonds, incase anyone thought I meant I dont own a quiet watch. Im sure it would be fun though!

Anyway, I'm LOVING the 38mm, it definitely give the edge, the 33mm is more dressy. The RRP for 38mm is A$6800, only A$400 more than the 33mm. The Watches of Switzerland still hasn't got the J12 in, i'm beyond patience right now. I keep thinking maybe I should just use my Chanel credit note to get the watch at the boutique.However, without the discount, it will be at least A$700 more than buying it at the Watch Switzerland store.

I understand your delemer. Its going to depend on what your time is worth to you. For $700 I would probably wait if the time wasnt more than 4 months. However I would also want to use up the credit note, which is a waste to have lying around. Too bad that Chanel wouldnt even compromise by offering 5%, meeting you half way.
