Let me reiterate: The seller says she did not know the bag was fake. Frankly, I'm suspicious of that but the bag is so good and the differences are so subtle that it is completely believable that someone could have bought this and not known it wasn't real. It does seem legitimate that she could have bought a bait-and-switch bag from someplace with clueless SAs like Neimans.

So, for now I will not report her to eBay. If the bag gets relisted, or if I see her selling any other designer bags that raise alarm bells, I will be reporting her and alerting any bidders, but until that happens I am willing to consider the possibility that this was an honest mistake. :flowers:

I'm not so sure about this.

I recognize the design of this bag, it comes from one of the most popular bal fakers on the net. She probably knew.

I looked for completed listings of your bag and think I found it. There are some photos on the listing of the tag.

I noticed the black thread on the leather tag doesn't look "straight". Is that what you saw when you received it?

Also, are you 100% certain that the white bag is authentic?

Did the seller tell you where she purchased it?

I agree with gro. I didn't find the listing but based on this photo the black thread on the interior tab looks gnarly. I really wish we could see the front and back of the interior tab because I've never seen a fake that's gotten that perfectly right.

So sorry Chesh :sad:. This is pretty spooky because I admit the leather does look quite pillowy and nice. Based on the side by sides alone, I'd have guessed the VD was the real one! that's how good it looks.

bloody hell that is a good fake, so good it's scary! Glad you are getting your money back, and thank-you for the comparison pics, it is so difficult to tell with nothing to compare to so it is no surprise many did not think it was fake!

Wow... thats a pretty good fake... :hrmm:.

Sorry you had to go through this entire ordeal, great news your getting the $$ back..... :yes:... Theres some pretty scary fakes out there! :yucky:

OMG.. THAT BAG IS SO REAL YET FAKE..I mean look at that bag.. Not everyone can s pot it unless they have a real one to compare, or unless they are balen expert. Imagine if a balen first timer end up winning this bag? Counterfeit industry these days become more n more expert.. :nogood:

Thank you for taking the time to educate us, Cheshire! This is an amazing fake... Given my lack of experience with GH, I probably wouldn't have even suspected that it's a fake :sad:

Or perhaps Balenciaga changed the size of the rings from 07-08?

I have several GH Days, but don't have access to them right at the moment.

Does anyone here have GH Days to post some photos?

There's currently a few auctions going of GH Days, and looking at the photos, they mirror the Vert D'eau Day.

I'm very confused.:shrugs::shrugs:

I have a difficult time believing counterfeiters could get that color so close!!!

Agreed, which is why pics of interior tag are essential. VD is not an easy color to mimic, and yet they've not only nailed the color, but the leather texture on VD (yes, different colors often come with different leather characteristics). It's worth unpacking the bag to post side by side pics of the interior tags on the GH Days. Just to be sure.
