Since I was positive the bag was not authentic I did not feel the need to take a bunch of other pictures once the seller agreed to refund my money (which, I should point out, she did this morning very graciously). If I had thought about the fact that it would help some of you, I definitely would have done it, but I just wasn't thinking about it that way.

So, anyway, I hope I didn't sound like a total b*tch, I just got upset when I read the comments about the White Day. :sad:

^^ i think everyone was just trying to make sure you didn't get ripped off and that is why they questioned your other bag. please don't take offense.

also, and i'm not placing blame, it's NOT easy to spot a fake - you bought a fake bag! i'm so happy that you posted pics so now we really know the other details of what to look for. but if it was so easy to see that this VD bag was fake, i'm sure you would not have bought it.

this is a great reminder to everyone to look at ALL THE DETAILS before buying and not just make a snap judgement based on one or two okay pictures of a bag they are thinking of buying.

thank you so much CHESHIRE for bringing this bag and this sleazy seller to our attention. i'm sorry if you were offended in any way but it's worth it IMO to learn more about how to avoid these nasty counterfeiters.:nogood:

cheschire cat, i'm really sorry for you, there are so many bad people trying to sell fakes at a high price. your experience makes me stop wanting older b bags on the evil bay. i'm glad you'll get your money back, shame on the seller.

Is there anywhere we can check the past creations of NBF? I can only see that they're making Sandstone, Bouton D'or, VG, and Magenta next, but what about the previous colors? I've only bought one bag off ebay, a GH Day and I was 100% certain it was authentic, and now I'm going to be anxious til I get back to the states! :(

It should all be in that thread, amiekbs8. I know that they have done black, Natural, Violet, Bordeux and one of the reds, but I don't know their entire past list...

I just want to reiterate that you should be looking for these problems on RH Days as well! They make both RH and GH and I suspect that the differences are the same, particularly the long zipper extension on the top.

Just checked TFS out. Take a look at these pics in post no.19392 at this page:


The fakes are getting really good. Still there are some small signs that give the bag away but at first glance they look real.

This is all so upsetting. Thanks again CC for showing us what to look for and for everyone else's input.

What I'm wondering--if it's obvious NBF is making exact copies why is no one shutting them down? Is it because they don't claim that they're authentic?
