They're pretty good in Marbella - my family and I managed to get 3 Birkins in a 2-3 week period.. they were not the least bit rude, nor did they FORCE us to purchase clothes.. that's just RUDE.. I would have flipped out if somebody said that to me..
honestly some SA's have really put me off the brand, but then there's some nice ones that make u change your mind.. we dealt with the same guy all 3 times and he was great..
I've also realized there's a certain way of dealing with the SA's to get them to give you what you want.. we didn't get 3 random ones they happened to have in the store.. we asked for 3 specific colours/sizes with GHW (which is a lot more rare in Europe) and he managed to get each one within DAYS (separately).. really made me wonder about this whole 'availability' and 'waiting list' thing they're always talking about..

i have to agree on this. from my experience, the SAs in italy are nicer compare to Sas in france, eventhough they were somewhat rude also. i almost gave up the brand before i met this nice Sa at padua store. he really helped a lot and changed my mind about this hermes purchasing thingy
Sorry to hear about your bad experience, anilin3. I was at FSH and had no luck with Birkin either. But the SAs were nice in telling me that all stock for Birkin/Kelly was nil. Perhaps, I was there at the wrong time as it was nearing XMas. I was shown a few Birkins when I was Strasbourg but I turned them down because the size was not the one that I wanted.

But my friend was at FSH 2 weeks ago and bought 3 birkins with her mom and sister which is
. At first the SA said "NO BIRKIN & KELLY" but my friend saw some lady was looking at the birkins so she argued wit the SA and eventually she got 3 BIRKINS (ALL 40cm of rouge/pink/raisin)!!!!!!!!!!!! She spend almost 2 hrs talking to the SA in letting her purchasing 3 birkins. (At first she was allowed 2 but they wanted 3).
My friend told me they are LOTS of 30cm & 40cm birkins which i believe her or else she can't even bring 3 birkins home. So I suggest you can argue with them if you want.
In additional, my friend told me they won't show her ANY 35cm because there's LOTS of Japanese outside the door trying to buy 35cm off the people who purchased 35cm birkins and sell it more expensive in Japan.
I don't know if it makes a difference if your asian or not. Cuz my friend is Asian and they won't sell her the bag. But i don't think customer service should be at this kind of standard. I mean it's only a bag, they shouldn't force anyone to purchase anything else.
anilin3, you should go to another SA in the store since they have over 30 staffs. Also, for such a big store like FSH, they should ALWAYS have stock. You just gotta talk to the SA.

thanks for the comment. i'm an asian too and the rude SA was a white female. Well regardless of what skin color you are, i believe that SAs shouldn't behave like that especially to a customer.

i didn't bother to argue with the SA since i was terribly upset with how rude she was and even considering on giving up Hermes. Even my husband dislike what she did to me. i thought of telling the manager about her attitude but then again she would defend herself using a language that i don't even understand.
i went back to the store on Sunday and didn't know that they close on Sunday (what a bummer!) and had to leave the following morning. so i got nothing from FSH. i wish i could purchase few bags from them
if only hermes SAs know how to behave, i'm sure Hermes would have a far greater income that they already have.
status, good quality handbags, magnificent craftsmanship, and excellent customer service. who wouldn't want to spend money at those bag company ??
