mistikat i understand your point. but just like baileylab said, i cannot just go up to the SM or SA and tell them about how i feel, especially since it was my first experience in france. And i'm very happy to find out that there are a lot of people comforting for me regarding this matter. I really appreciate all of their comments :)
I merely just expressing my opinion and sadness about their attitude...

FSH staff are really the B-omb! They never ever lose their temper, not even when I told my SA after he showed me 4 birkins and 2 kellys (he had to run to the basement each time!) that none of the colours struck the right note with me... He's the angel who still went to look one more time and found me my dream bag...

Other than at Hermes Ginza or any japan Hermes, you'd be hard pressed to find such lovely SAs!!!

There is a small store in stuttgart but they said they do not carry Birkins. They told me to go to Munich or Frankfurt. I think they mentioned another city, but I can't remember.

As a newbie to Hermes bags, this has been a very informative thread. I have bought scarves and a few other things before, but never a bag. I did go into a store the other day (same place where I purchased the other stuff) and asked if they had any Kelly's or Birkin's. The SA informed me they were a small boutique and I would need to go to another store (Munich, Frankfurt) to find one.

This thread helps me in knowing not to get too discouraged when on the hunt for my perfect bag...that if I am faced with the same situation, I am not the only one out there being 'turned away' when inquiring about the bag.

Wish I had read this before!
