Sorry to hear about your experience too anilin3.

But my friend was at FSH 2 weeks ago and bought 3 birkins with her mom and sister which is :wtf:. At first the SA said "NO BIRKIN & KELLY" but my friend saw some lady was looking at the birkins so she argued wit the SA and eventually she got 3 BIRKINS (ALL 40cm of rouge/pink/raisin)!!!!!!!!!!!! She spend almost 2 hrs talking to the SA in letting her purchasing 3 birkins. (At first she was allowed 2 but they wanted 3).

My friend told me they are LOTS of 30cm & 40cm birkins which i believe her or else she can't even bring 3 birkins home. So I suggest you can argue with them if you want.

In additional, my friend told me they won't show her ANY 35cm because there's LOTS of Japanese outside the door trying to buy 35cm off the people who purchased 35cm birkins and sell it more expensive in Japan.

I don't know if it makes a difference if your asian or not. Cuz my friend is Asian and they won't sell her the bag. But i don't think customer service should be at this kind of standard. I mean it's only a bag, they shouldn't force anyone to purchase anything else.

anilin3, you should go to another SA in the store since they have over 30 staffs. Also, for such a big store like FSH, they should ALWAYS have stock. You just gotta talk to the SA.

Don't give up!!!!

I have never heard of a 40 in pink....:thinkin:

And about the Japanese outside...I have been many times to FSH and I have never seen any.

I am really sorry to hear what has happend.

I can assure you that there are very nice SAs in FSH, so it was really unlucky what has happend.

About the inventory, they get new Birkins anytime, and they can see it from the computer.

Once, I was there and checked for Birkins and they told me there were only two, thst just came in, and took them out for me.

While I was looknig, a lady came up, very angry, saying that only 5 minutes before she asked for Birkins and was told "no Birkins". so she was before me and wanted to see them first.

The Sa tryed to explain but the lady was furious and started talking really loud pretending to take the birkins off my hends.

I told her that she had to wait and I was so upset that if I coudl I would have bought both just not to leave any to her.

Actually I got one, so she got hers (that btw was a gorgeous black 35 togo) but she really didn't deserve any!.

This to say the inventory changes from minute to minute....

costa yes.. now that i think about it, i didn't see any japanese people waiting outside FSH either.

congratulations on your purchase. have you done a reveal ? i would love to see it :)

as for me, the lady didn't even bother to search in the computer. she did when i asked for lindy but when i asked for kelly, she refused to search for it.

my trip was the first time to go to europe with my husband and i was totally dissapointed not being able to purchase kelly/birkin over at FSH. i understand what's the other lady's feelings, i probably would feel the same if that happens to me - without the yelling though :p

well i guess it wasn't my luck to score any birkins/kellys

Sorry to ask , not about this topic , Is the New Birkin always come with Plastic Wrap , I wondered if there are no Wrap , that 's mean this Bag already show to someone before ? And they rejected them ?

TIA. ^^

Sorry to hear about this! I was very nervous about going to Hermes because I have read horror stories on here. I went in to buy an agenda and there were two SAs, one woman was rude looking and didnt even speak to me or my mom, but the other SA was absolutely wonderful! This was my first time in the store and he showed me agendas and bracelets and took the time to tell me the stories behind the pictures on the bracelets. So, I had settled on the agenda and a bracelet but simply asked about the 30 birkin they had on display. I also asked how I could go about getting a wait list. He asked what I was looking for and told me that he would see what he had. He brought out a birkin still in the plastic wrap and was so gracious about it... told me if I wanted it I could have it, but he completely understood if I wasn't ready. I ended up getting the birkin and NOT getting the other accessories (for now ;)). He even gave me a hug good-bye! I will be his customer for life!! Keep trying, I think it truly is about luck!!

read through this thread and have to honestly say I never found any problem with getting good service. we did buy my mum's Kelly after calling up all shops close to our home town here in Germany, each one was happy to give me info over the phone regarding their inventory and when we finally went to Munich they so happily sold us the bag (even brought a reserved one out for us to see if we preferred it).

when we did ask about a birkin she did say though that this one was waitlist/order only. I have to admit that I am not into the Birkin at all so their policy really does not bug me.

birkin 35cm??? Japanese??
I don't believe it. In Japan not many ppl buy 35cm birkin..
30cm birkins will be sold more expensive than 35cm here sometimes. Hermes boutiques here in JAPAN don't buy 35cm birkin a lot from Paris because ppl don't buy 35 cm but 30cm or 25cm. resellers have too many 35 cm birkins and overstock!!

Every ppl who wanna buy birkins kellys you need to travel to Japan
You can buy birkins everywhere! and SAs will be happy to sell you any amount of birkins and kellys

Plus I always got birkins in Hawaii and guam also.

I have been offered/shown kelly bags and birkins every time I have been into the VA and Riverside stores, and have yet to buy one. There has always been at least one SA who has gone out of their way to service me. I will say they do seem to appreciate it when a customer knows and appreciates the other bags (and silks). And I have always been more interested in the bolides anyway.. Maybe this has been my saving grace..? :shrugs: Deanna at Riverside is a store manager and she is absolutely divine.

I believe, Jesus is running the company now because everyone here appears to be referring to the birkin bag as a Holy Grail.

Only kidding. But if you follow the thread through, you will see a link to the company profile.

that was pretty funny, EdinaChu :roflmfao:

hi monniewong,

thanks for the comment. i'm an asian too and the rude SA was a white female. Well regardless of what skin color you are, i believe that SAs shouldn't behave like that especially to a customer.
my friends told me also that the FSH store would have plenty of stocks since tourists will always come by and purchase lots of stuff there

i didn't bother to argue with the SA since i was terribly upset with how rude she was and even considering on giving up Hermes. Even my husband dislike what she did to me. i thought of telling the manager about her attitude but then again she would defend herself using a language that i don't even understand.

i went back to the store on Sunday and didn't know that they close on Sunday (what a bummer!) and had to leave the following morning. so i got nothing from FSH. i wish i could purchase few bags from them :shucks:

if only hermes SAs know how to behave, i'm sure Hermes would have a far greater income that they already have.
status, good quality handbags, magnificent craftsmanship, and excellent customer service. who wouldn't want to spend money at those bag company ??
i know i would..

Even with their "bad" behavior, Hermes is still reporting increases in profit every single year. So I guess they feel no need to change anything at all...

true..but one of the reasons is because of the price increase every year too though.
too bad with the service... it's just bad! based on my experience

These threads pop up from time to time. Some people have bad SA experiences and others rave about the service they have gotten. While it's always regrettable when people have bad experiences anywhere they shop - whether it's $1 or $10000 - it just seems to me that it's somewhat useless to complain about the bad service here .... why not have a word with the manager of the store where you're shopping, where it might do some good? Or with the SA?

Good point, Mistikat. but we are just here to vent out our frustrations. And to a certain extent sometimes it's not wise to go against the H ppl. I know they're just people, but those who cannot just tell the SM or SA put it all here just to make them feel better. And there will always a lot of people here to comfort them even if nothing will come out if it, H wise.

reading this thread was REALLY discouraging me!! As i do not own ANY hermes goodies, but i want a birkin...i think wearing LV in H would be a slap in their face. While i am willing to buy some SLGs and/or a few scarves (which i plan to do anyway...to go in the new birkin HOPEFULLY), i think 2-3k euros is ridiculous. I'm a fan of building a collection, buying pieces as i see fit, not walking in and buying everything i want at once. Hopefully they won't reject me for a birkin when i go for a belt, scarf, phone case, and wallet.

read through this thread and have to honestly say I never found any problem with getting good service. we did buy my mum's Kelly after calling up all shops close to our home town here in Germany, each one was happy to give me info over the phone regarding their inventory and when we finally went to Munich they so happily sold us the bag (even brought a reserved one out for us to see if we preferred it).

WOW!! who was your SA, would you mind sending me his/her information in a pm? this would allow me someone to establish a rapport with. I'm not sure if you read my thread (http://forum.purseblog.com/hermes/a-male-considering-a-birkin-hac-please-help-625063.html ) but i'm looking for one (or rather i will when i return to germany in less than two months :yahoo: ) I hope they are willing to do this for me as well, as it would save me time and money from traveling to every hermes in the country (yes, i am that determined to get a birkin).

Do you have any idea which stores in germany have a larger selection of good or are more likely to have a birkin?

also, do you think it would be a good idea to have one of my german friends call...i kinda have a sneeking suspicion they would prefer a conversation in german over english...
