Geez you guys can't tell it's a joke? I put a smiley there for a reason.
Some things are just better not joked about. Especially on the internet with just typed words.

Ready to wear cannot be returned for obvious reasons, and most stores do not take things back. Especially in Asia, and certainly not in exchange for a birkin.
DJMM, please don't advise other members to play tricks with Hermes... The returns policy are for loyal customers who decided against a purchase, if people start abusing this, Hermes will stop it altogether. Taking things back is at the full discretion of the Hermes store....
That's the thing with typing and reading - sometimes messages get interpreted wrongly. Next time I'll make sure I'll put a big fat smiley instead of medium sized one. haha...
By the way, back to topic - do they only reject you as in selling a Birkin bag (in any leather/colour)? Or do you think they might also reject you to be put under waiting list?
Hi, not sure what you mean about reject. I honestly believe that all Hermes stores would love to sell you a birkin, but they are limited in the numbers they get in. So, being human, they will sell the bags to people they like. This can be to people who buys loads of other stuff, or people they just take a shine to because they are nice and polite.
Everything they do is at the discretion of the store manager. There us no hard and fast rule. Some people wait and wait, others get a call every time a new bag comes in. At the end if the day, it's down to your spending levels. The more you spend, the better you are treated.
It's not me personally but I was just curious to specific experience that the OP has. My question was directed to the OP about her rejection, not a general question about me worrying of being rejected.
Don't worry - I don't need any tips in how to carry myself when I shop at Birkin.
But I for one think that you really don't need to spend a lot of money to buy a Birkin. But you have to at least be nice (as long as the SA is nice - if they're rude unprovoked, I could turn into a man-*****) and also serious about buying (not a time waster).
I honestly just bought a few scarves here and there and when I inquired about the Birkin a few weeks ago, I was instantly told that they had 2 in stock available if I wanted them (and no, I didn't have to buy the dang playcard! haha...) I didn't get it because at that time I haven't decided whether I wanted it or not (but those two were not the ones I'm after now anyway...)
But then again as you said, it all depends on the SA/store manager themselves too as you said. Some SA has more sense in real customer service that others.
