Like Sibelle, this year I'm seeing a lot of Longchamp Le Pliage, MCM backpacks, Michael Kors and Louis Vuitton. These brands are ubiquitous on the campuses where I work. Also, Fjallraven backpacks seem to be popular with the cooler students.

My area (northern suburbs, overall higher income level compared to the city or southern suburbs)...a bazillion Coach outlet bags...ive only seen Coach 1941 on...me! Lotsa MK, esp the JetSet totes, LVs and of those mostly NeverFull...hardly see even Speedies, occasionally Burberry but the obvious Burberry not the more inconspicuous Banner...we do have a Nordstrom and can get Stellas, Valentinos and Balenciaga but i never see those. Overall...the trend is bland and uber conspicuous.... never anything unique or uber uber high end...not even a dang chanel....I think im one of the few who go to out with something not the usual... oh + Longchamp la pliage...lotsa those...

I think my area is pretty conservative and bland...or maybe only older women or more conservative old money types buy the better stuff.

I live in Dubai and most common bag that people carry in the shopping are Chanel, then Dior, mostly diorama, (in 2016 Diorama was the most trendy bag that I saw in the street) then LV. Recently birkin start to spot very often in the malls, Celine is also very common specially in tourist. Few years bag the most popular was Michael kors but it was like a trendy and now rarely see.
