Just wanted to share my experience as a non-local walk in over the long weekend.
Hubby and I were visiting Montreal for our 'babymoon'. Decided to check out the local H boutique since we'd never been, was hoping to pick up a scarf as a little souvenir to commemorate our trip and check out their shoe selection. I was pretty surprised at how small the boutique was compared to my local Toronto store. We showed up on a Saturday afternoon and had to put our name down, we waited about 30-45 minutes but we were free to wander around Holts until they called us.
The SA we were assigned was a bit standoffish at first but she eventually warmed up and was super helpful when we were looking for scarves and shoes. I was surprised this location still had the denim espadrilles that everyone seemed to be going crazy for, but sadly sold out in my size. She asked if we were looking for anything else and I asked about a couple bags (anything in barenia/barenia fauborg, mini bolide), she said no. I saw a black mini roulis on display and asked if they were rare in Montreal because I had to wait 8 months to get mine in Toronto. Her demeanor almost changed a bit when I mentioned I shopped in Toronto and she became a bit more friendly and chatty and asked for my phone number to look up my profile in her phone. She then asked if I would consider a Herbag because she thought she might have one in the back. I said sure since we were already there and I'd never tried one before, but I didn't have high expectations. She came back with the box still sealed in plastic (idk if it's just me but it always feels a little more special when you know you're the first to see it) and pulled out this beauty and both hubby and I loved it! The size feels pretty comparable to my K28 sellier and I love the neutral colour combo and how lightweight it is. Not to mention you can't really beat the price (I can't believe a Chanel woc is $475 more than this ). She did ask if I'd want a twilly or rodeo but I turned it down since I'm not a fan of dressing up my bags. Overall very happy with our experience

Hi all! I'm new to Hermes and was looking at the Picotin 18. Is it a bag that can be found easily in store or do you have to be offered one? I'm in Montreal and always feel afraid to go in store
You should really visit and ask. My friend just got a picotin 18 very recently as a walk in. It was her first time in Mtl store and she was not even asked to buy anything other than the bag. She is going back to ask for more bags. Sending you good vibes!

They do pop up from time to time. Just mention it to your SA your exact spec and when she receives it, she can put it aside for you.
