DH has decided he wants to upgrade my wedding ring ASAP.
Why ASAP I have no idea and I was looking forward to it before, when I knew I had a couple of years to nail down exactly what I want, but now that he's all excited about doing it immediately I can't figure it out!

Anyone have any photos of the ring they love? Or any photos of rings you really like?

I'm pretty sure I'll choose a round brilliant, but I like to see pics of all shapes because it's the setting I can't decide on.

HELP!

How exciting, Swanky! Do you have any ideas in mind, or are you starting from scratch? RB is my favorite shape, too. But I love the look of cushion and emerald cuts. My dream ring is just a RB solitaire in a 6-prong tiffany setting, white gold :love:

Cushion cut is my fav...you should make an appt with your jewler, and try on a gillion different things. I can not wait to see what you choose!! :nuts: Lucky girl! Enjoy the process! Diamond shopping is the BEST!

well since i never owned a substantial round brilliant ring if i ever going to marry again i would one of those. they are just classic and then a fantastic cage micropavé setting by JAR or one of the ornate setting by my one of my two absolute faves moussaieff or leviev(love them both since years they do stunning stuff) .
but anyways enjoy buying end selecting and designing you new stone. there really is nothing better then buying new baubles

Congrats on getting a new ring! I also LOVE Leon Mege's settings. He has a good mix of simple and really ornate. Maybe it's time that you joined Pricescope :graucho:.

so i'd always thought i wanted a cushion or round in a micro-pave halo setting, but i was flipping through a bridal magazine at barnes and noble and came across this brand and these two rings which i think are absolutely beautiful-if you're going for an upgrade, these will show off the diamond wonderfully

they're by a brand called Varna-i'm still not sure if they're what i want since i'm really indecisive, but i do think they're beautiful

Don't laugh - but Rachel Ray has a rockin' roud brilliant diamond and an eternity band. I've tried on a lot of rings and my dream ring would be that style, 1.5-2.00 carats.

A girl can dream, right?!!!

Lucky you! I'm happy for you! We upgraded my original engagement ring last spring and I had no idea what to get. I considered everything! I tried on so many rings until I finally decided on a style. We went to all the jewelry stores, looked for pictures in magazines and on-line, and in general became possessed in our search.

It's funny that with this wonderful opportunity to choose anything I wanted in the end I selected a 2.17 carat solitaire with a plain platinum band. Just pure, simple, classic. I love this ring more than anyone could possible know!

Classic? Modern?
Do you wear your ring all the time?
Are you hard on your hands and jewelry?
Will it be the only ring on your finger or will it go with a band next to it?
