Missoni for Target *Modeling Pics*

I wanted to share a couple of modeling pics -- I stopped at a few Target stores today and altho I found a few things, I didn't find anything I was looking for (unless you consider some little girl's clothing which I scored for my granddaughter, including the purple dress I wanted to get her plus the purple leggings and the velor coat!)

I considered getting these, I actually kinda liked how the two things looked together and knew that I could pair both of these things with other items in my closet, but I ultimately decided to pass (originally I thought this sweater would look great with the maxi skirt, but it's slightly shorter than I'd really like)

This is the Black & White Strappy Zig Zag Dress and the V-Neck Pullover Sweater. I actually liked how it looked like a mini skirt and the black & white that poked out from the top of the Vneck!

I had asked this very question w/my first post, and the various replies I've gotten indicate that particular cardi runs shorter and a bit tighter. If you're small busted, I think you could stick to your tts, but I'm planning to size up so the length can hit at an appropriate length on me. Moreover, I'd prefer the flexibility of pairing long sleeved tops in addition to shells/tanks.

Thanks! Although I am a bit busty, I don't really wear cardigans buttoned up, so I should go TTS. I'm a bit confused with a lot of eBay listings and how they estimate sizing.

You're welcome! :flowers: You know, I would advise asking the sellers to measure the cardi itself. Get pit-to-pit measurements, length of the garment, and sleeve length. I try to nip the problem in the bud by listing measurements for all my items...it's time consuming, but I figure it'll save me from buyers who complain about fit after the fact. :noggin:

I stopped at TJMaxx while I was out and they had a bunch of M Missoni clothing -- I put this cardigan on layaway (along with a long jacket that I absolutely LOVED!) -- I was thinking that this might look good with the paneled dress (and the zig zag striped dress if I ever find one). The color looks more orange or peachy in this pic, but it' really more of a golden brown with some orangey undertones -- what do you think? How would it look with this dress? (I have this dress and am still hoping to find the Zig Zag dress -- I actually did find one but the girl wants to trade & said she'd only sell it as a last resort)

It's a pretty pricey cardigan ($250) -- but I can wear it with a lot of other things besides this dress as well. (It would look totally cool with the brown/gold infinity scarf which I have -- the cardigan has gold thread throughout it!!)

There was also a draped blue cardigan I considered getting to go with the blue maxi dress, but looking at the colors now I don't really think it would go that great (you can sorta see the blue cardi in the background over my right shoulder)

Great modeling pix in here! Keep them going!

I actually wasn't planning on getting any Missoni for Target pieces because 1) I was too afraid of getting caught up in the Missoni Tuesday madness and 2) I have the regular Missoni stuff that I almost never wear. But, my best friend and I swung by a Target after having lunch on Friday to pick up some baby stuff. To our surprise, my friend spotted a few kids' items hanging in the kids dept. I tried on a girl's cardigan and turned around to look in the mirror. By the time I turned back, literally seconds later, everything on the rack was gone. Apparently, this woman standing near us had picked through the rack before we got there. After she saw us looking at the girl's cardigan, she came back and took all the rest of the inventory. Madness! It was such a hodgepodge of stuff in her cart (large women's lingerie set, small swimsuit, kids' stuff, etc.) that we speculate that she's probably buying them for resale on eBay.

Anyhow, here's my contribution to this thread:

I did a little DIY work on my black sweater dress. I'm a curvy girl but thin - usually wear a size 4 but I have a booty and boobs. I loved my sweater dress but the way it hung straight down from my chest made my waist look thick. I sewed ties to the sides of my dress that tie in the back. I stuck gold when I found black sweater ribbon that perfectly matched the material of the dress! You can barely tell it wan't originally there. I like it sooo much better now and I'm super excited I found a cheap way to alter it. First pic is before, second is after.

Also, I'm totally going to copy the look that was posted earlier with the multicolor dress over the white tie-neck top. So cute!

That looks great!! Thanks for posting the instructions for how you did it!

Super cute! I love how you're wearing it as a cropped cardigan. Work it!! And your tributes match perfectly. Kinda off topic but I've been wanting to get some lowell heel tributes and when I walk in them at the store my pinky toe is always trying to escape! Because of that I haven't bought a pair .. :(
