Cute!!!

As for sizing on the Vneck--they ran REALLY small. I bought an XL, and it was SO tight and SO short I returned it. It like stopped at my belly button.

I agree the v-neck ran small for my taste too. Although the pink one is slightly bigger than the green I think. The pink v-neck in M fits me ok but I like my sweaters a bit roomier so I kept the L, same as the green v-neck.

I ordered 2 rain boots, 2 cosmetic cases (received on Friday) and a train case from the target website. The train case order is delayed until the end of October and I really hope it won't be canceled!
I ordered the a children's size 5 stripe rain boots (even though I really wanted the zig zag one) and the woman's size 6 rose print rain boots. Does anyone know how they fit or have an actual picture of one?

Adorable!!

I did a little DIY work on my black sweater dress. I'm a curvy girl but thin - usually wear a size 4 but I have a booty and boobs. I loved my sweater dress but the way it hung straight down from my chest made my waist look thick. I sewed ties to the sides of my dress that tie in the back. I stuck gold when I found black sweater ribbon that perfectly matched the material of the dress! You can barely tell it wan't originally there. I like it sooo much better now and I'm super excited I found a cheap way to alter it. First pic is before, second is after.

Also, I'm totally going to copy the look that was posted earlier with the multicolor dress over the white tie-neck top. So cute!
This modification is really fantastic! I was thinking of having my tailor take in the sides even though I got the kids' XL. IDK, it looks more like a shift dress at the moment, and I'd prefer just a bit more shape/definition.

Can you post pics of where you sewed the ties/how? I can't fully understand how you did it, and I need to do that to my (same) dress too! I originally thought I was going to belt it, but I didn't like the look.

Since I did not find the online exclusive passione chevron duvet set and didn't buy it for $150 on ebay (others are selling for $200+) and I totally regret not getting it on ebay. Anyways, I did get the purple/brown chevron set (the one roussel posted) instead for a total of $125 through the fair trade FB page, so only paid shipping and paypal fees.

Sad I didn't get my first choice, but loving the pics that roussel posted so settled on this one. I'll post pics when I get it in the mail :smile1:

I was actually wondering about the size of the Emma Roberts cardigan does it run TTS?
I had asked this very question w/my first post, and the various replies I've gotten indicate that particular cardi runs shorter and a bit tighter. If you're small busted, I think you could stick to your tts, but I'm planning to size up so the length can hit at an appropriate length on me. Moreover, I'd prefer the flexibility of pairing long sleeved tops in addition to shells/tanks.

I'd be happy to! Thanks everyone for the kind words :) Here is what I did step by step.

1) Cut two pieces of ribbon of the same lengths that are long enough to tie behind your back from the side seams. I figured this out by wearing the dress and holding the ribbon next to me.

2) Pick where on your waist you want to attach the ties. I did this by pinching the fabric on the sides back while wearing the dress to see what looks best. On one side put a straight pin where you want the top of the ribbon to fall. Measure how far down this is from the arm hole and put a pin on the other side in the same place (don't eye ball it, I made that mistake the first time!)

3) Take off the dress and put it on the floor in front of you with the front face up. Adjust it so you can see the side seam of the side you're starting with. Line up the ribbon on the seam where you put your pin. Have the ribbon going across the front the dress and pull it to the side so about 1/4 of an inch is past the seam. Sew it there, so that on the side of the seam towards the back of the dress there is 1/4 inch of ribbon and on the side of the seam towards the front is the rest of the ribbon.

4) The reason I sewed it like that is that when it is attached and you pull the ribbon towards the back of your body, that fold shows and not the actual stitching so it looks much neater. Repeat on the other side!

Hope that makes sense! If you're doing it on the black sweater dress, I got a spool of sweater ribbon from Joann's Fabric that is almost a perfect match. It's by Wrights and the number on the back above the sku is 1870025031.

First pic is of the front, second is of the back, third is a close up of the tie facing towards the back of the dress, fourth is the tie facing towards the front of the dress, fifth is so you can see the placement of my ties.
