I'm on the fence about the maxi skirt -- for those of you who bought (and recd) one, what do you think about it? Do you think its worth the $50 price tag?

On the one hand, it's a great basic piece that can be worn with so many diff things and so many ways -- you can wear it year round, very versatile. On the other hand, I was a little disappointed in the material and how it was made -- compared to the dresses and sweaters, I don't think the skirt is as nice as a lot of the other Missoni things and was thinking I could probably get another basic black skirt from H&M (or some place else) probably for under $50

Thoughts?

All of your thoughts were mine as well and that is why I am returning mine :)

I just returned mine today. I also found it to be an inch or so too short for me.

I did a little DIY work on my black sweater dress. I'm a curvy girl but thin - usually wear a size 4 but I have a booty and boobs. I loved my sweater dress but the way it hung straight down from my chest made my waist look thick. I sewed ties to the sides of my dress that tie in the back. I stuck gold when I found black sweater ribbon that perfectly matched the material of the dress! You can barely tell it wan't originally there. I like it sooo much better now and I'm super excited I found a cheap way to alter it. First pic is before, second is after.

Also, I'm totally going to copy the look that was posted earlier with the multicolor dress over the white tie-neck top. So cute!

What a great idea! If I get my hands on the blue dress, I will have to try that :)

Thanks! I definitely recommend trying it with the blue dress or at least belting it! I actually ended up returning that one because it felt too loose at the waist, and I couldn't justify keeping 2 items that needed work. It's really cute though :)

I got all my order yesterday and took a few pics. I'll take more later today

I love love the maxi skirt and this black cardigan. I got a M in both, my TTS.

Maxi skirt with pink v-neck. This runs small like the green v-neck so I got a L in this. Wearing flats too here

Blue mixed media v-neck with blue sweater skirt. They go so well together. I got M in both.

And last, thanks to a TPF angel I got this pink pieced sweater dress. Size M. Just like the blue sweater dress this is on the short side.

You look gorgeous in everything! Thank you so much for your post wearing the multi media sweater, I ordered it in both colours and not cannot wait for mine to arrive! :D

That looks great! You made the dress work for you.

Like the others, I'm also returning mine. I LOVE the look, but the material seems cheap IMO compared to the other items. I think I would end up regretting it. Plus, I have other maxi skirts, and who knows how long the maxi craze will live on for, KWIM?

Is the space dye cardi and blue v-neck cardi true to size, or do they run big or small? Can anyone let me know what size would fit an L and XL for those styles.

Hi there,

I'm 5'7'' and a size 2-4. While I might could wear a small, my height and arm length usually put me in the medium category. I purchased a medium in the space dye cardigan, and I find that the sleeves are a bit loose, but there's no way I would feel comfortable wearing the small. Overall I think that it runs pretty true to size (as opposed to the v-neck Missoni sweaters that were very small in my opinion).

Looks great! The multicolor dress fits me the same as this one, but the blue dress is more flattering on me. I may just try your idea with the m/c dress. Thanks! :smile1:
