Okay so, I originally thought that they had changed their chains over the years however what happened today completely flipped that thought I had. I was with a girl friend who recently got her Mini Pochette in DE (literally 2-3 day before me receiving mine). When I was comparing hers to mine today, I noticed that the chains were different! Both made in France and 1 week apart (my date code SF2240) mine is the chain on the left and hers is on the right.

I am not really that bothered with LV changing the chain over the years as long as the color of all hardwares are the same. I recently got the mini pa in de and az, and noticed that the puller metal of zipper hardware and the chain are different color. The zipper is in a light gold color whereas the chain is warmer tone gold. Is it like that all the time or just recent years?

just recieved this cute little thing! Made in Spain.
But its vachetta tab is not fully closed on one side. I think it is not glued well. I am not sure.. The other side is closed. Is this going to be spliting more as time goes?... does anyone have a similar experience with a vachetta tap? 929B6F5D-A8FC-4886-9B7C-B5FA38DDD9E6.jpeg

Some of my recent ones are like that too, it doesn’t bother me except— the locks on my 2 Speedys are both a darker brighter gold than the rest of the hardware on each bag....

Mine is MIF and doesn’t have the gap on the end of the tab. But my D rings on either end aren’t exactly the same gold tone- one more yellow tone than the other. I received mine yesterday made in Spain on the 26th week practically freshly out from factory. I’ve checked it thoroughly no faulty and compared with my other 2 de and da both MIF, couldn’t see any difference so happy to keep. :smile:

These are my 2017 Mini’s in DE and Mono. The chain seems to be the thinner version people are talking about. It’s understandable, individual parts of the bag are sourced from all over the world and the factories do change eventually.
But I don’t don’t find it a problem. They both still seem sturdy to me.

I’d return that. It will come off as it gets more wear and tear.
