I just got a mini rectangle in black with lghw! Quite excited about it cos they dont come by as often anymore. 7377768D-C263-4BBA-9F54-061549F529A1.jpeg
When my SA took it out, I was a little slightly taken aback at how smooshy it was. I have 2 other seasonal mini flaps in lambskin and both have puffy firm quilts. This one seems alot softer and i can see the leather start to crease already at the edges. I was also slightly disappointed that the flap looks abit uneven but not obvious in the photo cos i’ve tried to adjust it.
Overall, bought it (buy first think later). I did think of letting one of my seasonal mini go but i love the puffy quilts so much on them
Feels like Chanel quality is really not that great anymore. My older chanels are holding up alot better!

The leather on this looks like it’s supppsed to be for pearl crush bag, tbh.

I have a rectangular mini and have been eyeing on my second mini, but this time a square one. There are several available on Fashionphile now with my desired colors but $400-800 above retail price.

Would you still buy from there given the facts that 1) those are colors from past seasons so probably not available in store and 2) I’m physically too far away from a boutique and won’t be able to visit one without planning an overnight trip (meaning there will be a $150-ish cost for visiting a boutique)?

Hi! Honestly it really depends how much you love the bag and willing to spend more $$$ than retail. So in my personal experience I purchase a rec mini in black shw for $400 over retail… I loveeeeed the bag! But ultimately I did return because I just hated the idea of paying more for a used bag… I figured if it’s meant to be than I’ll find it in store (thought I doubt LOL) anyways just my experience! Good luck and whatever your choice might be I’m sure you will be happy!

It didn’t show up for me. I have purchase history at two standalone stores in Paris and two Chanel’s within Nordstrom in the US but none of it shows up in US standalone Chanel stores or NM Chanel so far.

I bought it in Singapore! I’m a local here and have purchased from Chanel for quite a number of years, albeit inconsistently . I think having a good SA and previous spend helps. The mini squares/rectangulars are not usually offered to walk-ins.

I just bought my gf the black rectangle mini. I am debating whether or not I should get her the small or medium bag though. Did I happen to luck out in getting this bag? I am thinking about returning it and having her go into the store to see other bags. Not sure how difficult it is to find the bag again should she want it though. Definitely do not want to get stuck with a bag she does not want.

Wow you’re a great bf lol. Does your gf gravitate towards smaller bags? If you walked into a store and came upon a rectangular mini, I would say you were very lucky. I would ask for her opinion, but hold onto the bag because getting in boutique can be a challenge.

Not so much gravitate towards smaller bags, just seems as though the mini is a better size for going out. I guess if they are hard to find, I will just keep it. Even though they are half the price, they are still expensive =). Are they usually made in France? I know today they can also be made in Spain and Italy, but not sure if that is the case with the Mini.
