Hi everyone! I’m looking to purchase a rectangle mini in any color (preferably a pastel color), however I don’t have any purchase history. Is it difficult to find a rectangle mini? Is it something where I can walk into my local boutique and ask if they have any I stock, and they would let me purchase it?

Where about are you located? It depends on your country/city. In some countries in Asia it has been very easy to walk into a boutique and they have plenty of choices.

It's easy to find minis as long as it's not Black GHW. I see minis almost everytime I visit the boutiques. Good luck!

Hi there! I'm in Houston and I have a Neiman Marcus SA that I work with and she's based in Dallas. She's extremely responsive and super sweet!

I just purchased a mini lady dior, so I’m going to have to hold off on the rectangle mini for a little bit especially with the holidays coming up. But thank you! Can I reach out to you at a later time for your SA’s info when the time comes?

Hi everyone! I am just starting to dabble into the luxury handbag world and I have yet to add a Chanel bag to my small collection. I am looking to purchase a Chanel Mini Flap as my first Chanel handbag and was wondering how difficult it is to obtain one? I am looking for a mini flap in a neutral or easy to match color such as black or beige. I also have never tried on the mini flap so I have no preference over rectangle or square or hardware color. If anyone has any information or advice to help a newbie out I would appreciate it so much :)

if you are near a local boutique, you can walk in and buy one. this summer, after a long hiatus away from Chanel bags, I walked into my local boutique and asked the first SA I saw for a mini chevron So Black and bought it. (I had seen it on a TPF thread here. The rectangle was a crossbody length whereas the square was too short for me.

If you are concerned about quality issues, it’s best to purchase from a department store as they are often more accommodating re returns and exchanges And best to purchase in person, so you can examine the bag. ( full disclosure: I’m not concerned about dings or a crooked flap etc, bc I tend to be somewhat clumsy with my bags anyway, so after the first outing, I won’t notice Plus I chalk it up to the life of a bag).

If buying preloved, be aware that due to the minis’ popularity, the prices on preloved ones are sometimes higher than retail. An advantage to purchasing from a recommended reseller (like fashionphile or Ann’s fabulous finds) is that they often offer detailed pics and descriptions of condition of bag and accept returns easily.

if you want a neutral like black or beige, I’d recommend black as beige sometimes picks up color transfer from dark jeans. if your style is classic, go with ghw. If edgy, so black hw. If in between, phw. Chanel beige used to be a yellow based beige, but I believe the newer beige Claire is more neutral. I just prefer the greyer or browner Hermes etoupe/etain. YMMV. here is a thread re some of the different Chanel beige shades which opines that the darker beige ones are more versatile year round. https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...the-perfect-neutral-first-chanel-bag.1006387/

good luck and have fun looking And trying them and pls post when you find one!
