MINI~MINI~MINI! Mini Flap Thread

if you are near a local boutique, you can walk in and buy one. this summer, after a long hiatus away from Chanel bags, I walked into my local boutique and asked the first SA I saw for a mini chevron So Black and bought it. (I had seen it on a TPF thread here. The rectangle was a crossbody length whereas the square was too short for me.

If you are concerned about quality issues, it’s best to purchase from a department store as they are often more accommodating re returns and exchanges And best to purchase in person, so you can examine the bag. ( full disclosure: I’m not concerned about dings or a crooked flap etc, bc I tend to be somewhat clumsy with my bags anyway, so after the first outing, I won’t notice Plus I chalk it up to the life of a bag).

If buying preloved, be aware that due to the minis’ popularity, the prices on preloved ones are sometimes higher than retail. An advantage to purchasing from a recommended reseller (like fashionphile or Ann’s fabulous finds) is that they often offer detailed pics and descriptions of condition of bag and accept returns easily.

if you want a neutral like black or beige, I’d recommend black as beige sometimes picks up color transfer from dark jeans. if your style is classic, go with ghw. If edgy, so black hw. If in between, phw. Chanel beige used to be a yellow based beige, but I believe the newer beige Claire is more neutral. I just prefer the greyer or browner Hermes etoupe/etain. YMMV. here is a thread re some of the different Chanel beige shades which opines that the darker beige ones are more versatile year round. https://forum.purseblog.com/threads...the-perfect-neutral-first-chanel-bag.1006387/

good luck and have fun looking And trying them and pls post when you find one!

Thank you so much for reply! And yes I will definitely post once I get my hands on one :)

Waited a long two months, but I got to join the mini club today! Chevron black lambskin w/LGHW.

Is this item still available to purchase or have I missed the season/release of this item? ): I've been seeing quite a few people posting about this specific mini and I've realized that this is the perfect combo for me and would also like to purchase for myself!

Hi everyone, I just put my deposit down for my first ever chanel and its a mini rectangle! It was so difficult finding one in Canada and I just wanted to to share my excitement! I pick it up this friday (!!) the photo below is from the seller. Also does anyone know how a 20 series caviar material holds up? I saw some threads on other series's caviar material but couldn't find one for this particular series.

Hi! I'm not sure if this has been replied to as the post is a bit older but I bought a 20 series caviar jumbo classic flap so I can let you know how the quality is in my experience! I'm assuming you have gotten your bag already, I'm curious to know what your thoughts are on the 20 series caviar! Congratulations on your bag it's beautiful  I hope you enjoy!

I’ve been on the hunt for a caviar mini in a neutral colour like a madman the past week following multiple consignment stores and in my opinion Singapore had the best prices! 5700 sgd/4050 USD for a square mini was one of the more reasonable price points (I know, the markup is crazy!) . Most reputable resellers who ship international like the purse affair (5060usd), coco approved (4350 usd) have square minis going for even higher - I listed some prices of their current available square mini prices in brackets. Camelliacurate on ig is based in Singapore and has a grey iridescent charcoal grey up for 3650 USD and I saw some rectangle minis for around the ~4500usd price point on Chanel fb buy sell groups being sold by Singaporean resellers (check out reetzy, Chanel buy sell, LVOE). I hope this helps

Sorry my reply is a bit old so I'm sure you've found your neutral caviar mini but in case you haven't, I've recently bought a beige caviar rectangle mini from this site: https://www.prelovedlux.com/. I'm Canadian and the company is based in Canada but they do international shipping and my mini was in great condition for around $4500 USD (a bit less than that). They had lots of very clear pictures of the bag as well as an HD video so I felt very comfortable with the condition before buying, plus the sellers were lovely. If by any chance you haven't found your neutral caviar mini their site might be worth checking out! Best of luck :)

Does anyone know if it's possible to get a square or rectangle mini in black lambskin or caviar leather at all in London? or how? All the videos I watch on Youtube are all from pre-loved markets.

There was a lambskin square mini with silver hardware at the Bond St store last week. I didn’t inquire about the rectangle so not sure about that one.

I went the preloved route with my mini because I wanted the square with ghw. Here is my first Chanel, a new-to-me Mini!01EDA31A-C823-4D13-BC19-9EFB97FB5093.jpeg

Hi everyone! I am just starting to dabble into the luxury handbag world and I have yet to add a Chanel bag to my small collection. I am looking to purchase a Chanel Mini Flap as my first Chanel handbag and was wondering how difficult it is to obtain one? I am looking for a mini flap in a neutral or easy to match color such as black or beige. I also have never tried on the mini flap so I have no preference over rectangle or square or hardware color. If anyone has any information or advice to help a newbie out I would appreciate it so much
They come into the boutiques in rotation about every 2 months so just talk to a SA. You can get one easily what area do you live in? A free standing boutique always has more stock than the department stores. Hope that helps!

I live in Southern California, the South Coast plaza one is the most accessible but ever since June I've been staying with my parents in San Diego and theyonly have dept stores close by.. really unfortunate but hopefully I get lucky!

Sharing my new mini. Since it was taking sooo long for this one to come in, I was beginning to lose interest and telling myself (based upon pictures I had seen) that it probably would not go with my wardrobe anyway. We'll, she finally came, and she honestly is more stunning in person! And, she will, in fact, easily go with many of my outfits. So glad I waited it out! She's a keeper for sure (much to the chagrin of my wallet)! Presenting my new ivory iridescent mini  .PhotoGrid_1603587431913.jpgPhotoGrid_1603587374955.jpg
