Hi, has anyone bought the Chanel mini black this season? If so how is the bag in general please? I’ve been bent on caviar but cannot seem to find the one I like in reasonable price range so I’m thinking of settling for the mini lambskin - if I can find one! Thanks again

Hi, I want the rectangle mini as my first bag from Chanel. Does anybody know what colors are being offered right now? I looked at the Chanel website, and all I could see was black, dark pink and orange. Would I need to call a boutique near me to find out what colors they have in stock? Sorry, completely new to Chanel.
I bought the mini rectangle in black lambskin from the most recent season (photos attached) and I absolutely love it! I too always wanted caviar but I am so glad I decided to go for the lambskin. I think it’s perfect as long as you don’t plan to use it as an everyday bag. The lambskin is so luxe and you don’t need to worry about colour transfer with the black.
I did end up buying a secondhand navy caviar mini afterwards and I ended up returning it because it was so underwhelming compared to the lambskin. Good luck in making your decision!
They always have more colours available in store than what shows online. Best to call your local store to inquire. I know here in Toronto they tend to sell out the day they get released. I believe during the most recent release there was also a light purple, light grey, dark grey, and red. All lambskin but some were chevron and some quilted. They also had some tweed minis as well. Thank you! I thought I was going crazy because I kept seeing beautiful light and dark greys here on purseforum that I couldn't find online. I would even check when the person bought it, and it would be within a month or two. Do you know when the next season is released so I can be ready? Or is that information not available? Or the colors that will be released? Sorry, I'm a complete newbie to this.
I'm new to Chanel too! As far as I know the next release would be 20A Metier D'Arts which normally comes out in May but I'm assuming this may have been delayed due to factory and store closures? Exactly these reasons make me take it into consideration as my first ChanelI think 2.55 minis are not always readily available, since my local boutique had none in stock for months. This one was $3,500 USD. I think it's the same price as classic minis, but I'm not sure. Sorry!
I wanted a 2.55 instead of a classic for a few reasons:
- closer to the original design
- more under the radar (no CC lock)
- calfskin is more durable than lambskin
- the 2.55 has 4 grommets for the strap but the classic only has 2 grommets
I am just not sure about the chain... does it make noise when wearing or is it „clunky“ and loud when placing on a table?

I haven't had mine long, but so far it hasn't made noise while I've been wearing it. The chain could be loud if you drop it on a table, but should be fine if you put it down gently.ni have a Rebecca Minkoff bag with a chain strap as well, so I'm used to putting bags down carefully to avoid noise.
I love the bag so far and if you're thinking about getting it, I'd say go for it!

Hi everyone, so I had the opportunity to buy square mini in lambskin from Chanel boutique at the old price and I went for it. I think it maybe literally before the prices changed so I’ve been very lucky. I received it and it’s lovely but I noticed the strap had a bit of leather poking out - as this is my first chanel bag please could you let me know if that is normal? The metal bits on the strap have been twisted a bit awkward too but I suppose I can straighten them out myself but the bit of leather sticking out kind of bothers me. If it’s normal then I totally understand - let me know please I've attached pics for reference. Thanks!
