This new project is interesting. It sounds really commercial but has a really indie/international director, so who knows how that will go.

ETA: And yes, for right now, it's just "in talks."

:laugh: I'm expecting something more like a modern version of 'The English Patient' without the overload of cheesiness :p Better not be disappointed Fassy nobody wants to see your 'Angel' acting again :laugh:

The Grey was a really good and gutsy film. Just a shame about the ending. I absolutely despise wolves now.

I noticed that too. How many Fox films has Fassy made so far? I'm hoping this film will be a bit gritty, cuz the story sounds a bit too lovey dovey to me.

Yeah, I was just thinking the other day about how Fox seems to have Michael under some kind of multi-year and or multi-movie contract. Both Tom Rothman and Nancy Utley (Fox Searchlight Co-Prez) seem to have their hooks in him. At a lot of the events he attends (in America, anyway), both Rothman and Utley can be seen prominently by his side at some point or another. Case in point, the photos below. And they were both pretty visible sitting next to him at the Fox table at the Golden Globes. It's pretty obvious that they've grabbed on to him and aren't trying to let go. You know they're like:drinkup: And I guess it's pretty obvious why.

It sounds like it's a romance novel.

Honestly, people dump on romance but it's the genre that keeps the publishing industry alive. Have you all heard about the 50 Shades of Grey thing? Next Twilight and all that, only the couple in the books is into BDSM. It's in movie talks. :shocked: Would love to see fassy in that. :graucho:

Unfortunately (or fortunately for myself as a romance author) "schmaltzy" appeals to the masses.

I was just wondering if it makes me a bad fan for hoping to hell and back that he doesn't take it. :laugh: It's like, come on, there has to be something better than that in the script pile. Of course, I'm going off of the description alone.

Well, this is something. After learning about the Prometheus Q & A with Ridley Scott after WonderCon (at the AMC theaters in Anaheim) I wanted to know how one could get tix to the event. So I found out that you had to be an AMC Stubs member, which sucks because I swore I'd never pay for a movie rewards program. But the manager of the theater told me that the only people who were getting invites were Stubs members in the Los Angeles area. So I figured I'd take a chance and get a membership. Though, I figured I was too late.

Lo and behold, I just got an email invite to the event! But I had to RSVP through a third party site for which I had to set up a login, etc. and that took a bit. So by the time I was able to RSVP, all of the passes had run out. :laugh: It's okay, though. I'm not worried about it. I'll get in. ;)


By the way, I thought Rick Astley was kinda cute back in the day but how I hated that effing song. That and the dance he'd do with it.

I bet he's already back in NYC, spending time with Nicole probably :graucho: before the festival and the promotional tour for 'Prometheus'.
