using multi-quote
Good marketing - almost nude Fassbender. Not a huge fan but I thought Mia was v.good but it was still better than loads of other things that came out. What would be a good extra is Cary in the nude...could that be part of the DVD, please studio execs?
Annabel - love commentaries too. Used to listen to them like the radio, but then so many directors/actors had nothin' much to add it was surprising. Now I think the most interesting bits came from the screenwriters because (a) they communicate for a living and (b) they kinda think about the whole effect and were distant enough to be funnier.
Good point, love that quote somewhere where he jokes that his nudity in film is for his mother, as she always grumbled about the history of objectifying woman when they always have to get nekkid. His bulge is so distractng...esp. when he doesn't wear panties...so am guessing the literal fact that he doesn't hide it means, as yet, the attention is not all that obtrusive. Salute you again MF, for doing what you can :salute: tee hee
But is there a comment from Steve McQueen anywhere about what he thinks of the attention the Fass-member has got? Because at some point I would love to know if he thinks the reaction has detracted from the film reception...

Cheers! I'll pop into HMV next week. Wasn't the film released in Sept? It's taken forever to come out on DVD and BR.
I hope the extras are interesting. I was sooooo disappointed with the lack of extras on Xmen.
You guys don't have the Jane Eyre DVD yet? From what I can remember, the one I have has some behind the scenes shorts, deleted scenes, and my fave, the commentary from the director. I love listening to those commentary tracks.
At one point he says that Fassy was actually wearing nothing under that nightshirt during the fire scene (have to be historically accurate after all) and that originally they had considered having him NUDE when Jane wakes him up. Haha. Wonder who would have suggested that?
Cary F. (director) said all the studio execs suddenly wanted to be on set the day they shot that scene. :lolots:

I agree. He looks better in these type of jeans and besides the bulge is so...distracting. I wonder how he feels about being objectified. Has any journalist asked him this?
