Which ones will you see at the HKFF? There's some pretty good selections culled from different festivals (some as new as Berlinale 2012), very nice. Maybe Keanu will surprise the class and teach 'em about the art of making a documentary rather than his thespian insights ;) !

I...I...I didn't hate it. *runsawayinshame* :D

I like the original Footloose but didn't revere it, so had a surprising fun time watching the dance choreographies of the remake, which doesn't pretend to reinveint the wheel. Now, if they were to remake Sound of Music ... I'd probably shank a ***** or two .

Booked in to these films and also I get free tickets to the shortfilm/avant garde programmes which I love because its harder to see short films. (short attention span too!)

The amount I actually see is about half of these bookings cos I get really busy around this time - also pick things I want to see big screen and prob will not get a chance to see again, so the doco's first + edgier stuff etc :smile1:

Doco's – Back to the Square, Bitter Seeds, Crulic, Fragments of Kubelka, Into the Abyss, Sleepless Nights Stories, Leadership, This is not a film, Moving, Nucleur Nation
Films - Breathing, People Mountain People Sea, Eyes without a face, Intimidation, Play, The Warlords, Wu Xia, Stateless Things and more!
Sorry I shouldn't be so harsh on K.Reeves - he's good looking and can move extremely well. Loved Matrix, even the last two! So the film people, expatgals; modelettes and arctors should have a good class

I saw "Jane Eyre", "Shame", "Hunger" ... I know, he was good in them, I don't deny, but it's all :)
Thanks for conversation, I will not speak on this topic again. I am not his fan (although I respect him) and I shouldn't speak about him at all :flowers:

Why not discuss the topic? Its fandom, so its good escapism!
Why Fassbender, as others have noted, the body is hot, he acts like he'd be great in bed, and there's the 'bonus prize'....giggling... But really he has made really brave choices, an 2011 run of good films, with dirty intensity and charisma. Gives better than average interview - signs of intelligence, yah! Frission of scandal? - fun! Most importantly he has worked with some film makers I want to support.

Of course, my interest is fairly relaxed so if he does a run of bad films, soooo fickle! :D

It's Superbad, The Hangover, and Cloverfield on steroids as someone put it.

sounds badassgreat.
Every (Y/Z) generation gets the party movie they deserve :p

Michael is a lot of things but boring is not one of them. He has a colorful Irish personality and unlike some actors dabbles in film, directing, producing, biking, and yes, even dancing :p An example of 'boring' for me is my gorgeous but generically bland Alexander Skarsgard (who I love to death.) Pretty to look at but painfully manufactured (unlike his pal Joel Kinnaman who IMO is far more interesting) and in my opinion compared to Michael exceedingly boring. And as for weird...

Nice quote, I could prob drop gossip all day long, but again old pals have worked with J.D. and he definitely an individual in a good way. x

You guys are so classy. I'm glad this didn't devolve into a hissy fight.

For the visitors who are curious...what hooked me on Fassbender was his hungry-eyes stare on the subway in Shame. From there, I watched interviews and became transfixed by his sharky smile and the sense that there is something much more complex lurking beneath that amiable exterior.

Yes, and sick body, xxx Yep. All those things too. :D

What I don't like is when people come trolling to a thread and make remarks which they don't even back up with a good argument. If you hate him. Tell us why so we can continue the discussion.

My mama always taught me to be wary of strangers who ... use an overabundance of exclamation points ;).

And Annabel, LOL! Fassbender and filth, those words are often happy companions. See picture below...

Jooa, too bad you don't enjoy tea, not even breakfast cream tea prepared by a torso-naked Connor? :graucho:

Jooa, you really need to watch Fish Tank! As a matter of face, I need to watch it again as well.

I think there is a Cumberbatch thread on this forum, but I'm too lazy to find it.

Girls, just wanted to let you know that 'Wreckers' will be available on DVD from Monday the 12th. But you probably already knew that.

Speaking of DVDs, I need to have Jane Eyre on DVD. Don't understand why it's not available yet.

Cheers! I'll pop into HMV next week. Wasn't the film released in Sept? It's taken forever to come out on DVD and BR.

I hope the extras are interesting. I was sooooo disappointed with the lack of extras on Xmen.

You guys don't have the Jane Eyre DVD yet? From what I can remember, the one I have has some behind the scenes shorts, deleted scenes, and my fave, the commentary from the director. I love listening to those commentary tracks.

At one point he says that Fassy was actually wearing nothing under that nightshirt during the fire scene (have to be historically accurate after all) and that originally they had considered having him NUDE when Jane wakes him up. Haha. Wonder who would have suggested that?

Cary F. (director) said all the studio execs suddenly wanted to be on set the day they shot that scene. :lolots:

To wet our appetite....counting down the days!:graucho:

I don't normally like it when people play hard to get, but now I'm counting the days. ;)

No, the film was released in September in the UK. So it's been a long wait. Of course the release of Shame, ADM and Haywire helped...a bit. :graucho:

I heard about that scene somewhere. After watching Shame, I'll bet those execs felt lucky to have caught a glimpse of the 'Bender' in real life. ;) Of course none of them are as lucky as Ms Beharie.
