Hey Jooa and Mimi, welcome to the thread!
When I compared them, I was referencing their acting style-something that differentiates them from more generic peers, not so much their offscreen persona.
Boring's relative maybe?

Mimi... worse pun ever! :noggin: (kidding)

I'm only thinking, if their acting style-something arises only from the roles which they played and there are nothing unique in their acting? Perhaps anyone else could play just as good as they or even better. Maybe they was just lucky to roles

I...I...I didn't hate it. *runsawayinshame* :D

I like the original Footloose but didn't revere it, so had a surprising fun time watching the dance choreographies of the remake, which doesn't pretend to reinveint the wheel. Now, if they were to remake Sound of Music ... I'd probably shank a ***** or two .

I seriously hope I'm dead and gone before some moron decides that a Sound of Music remake is in order. Such a thing should be against the law. Footloose is one thing but don't touch my Sound of Music.

Also, I always find it funny when someone feels the need to go onto someone's fan thread to tell the fans of that person that he or she doesn't find that person attractive. I'm always like, "well if it means that much to you that I know that you find the person I like unattractive and uninteresting, okay. I'm gonna go write about how I find him beautiful and fascinating now. Cheers!" I just never saw the point, is all. No offense to anyone, of course. :coolio:

But anyway, back to why I'm here. If anyone has a case of the 'Mondays,' hopefully, this will help a bit:

Well if you've seen a lot of movies from their filmography and still don't think the performance in each was good, then sure, maybe they're just not your cup of tea? I just happen to think in the opposite vein, that's all. As in, I don't think Fassbender got lucky; he got some pretty unloveable roles and it's to his credit that people who saw those movies noticed him, the range displayed, some rooting for the flawed character. Theoretically, sure, one could always think of others actors for which another one was cast, but I'm judging on the concrete performance given and I think he knocks a lot of of the roles out of the park (not all, it's not like he's an acting deity). I can't think of anyone who saw Hunger and thought "Meh, I'd have better imagined xxx as Sands", you know?

I saw a lot of his films, some of them were good, in my opinion, some were bad. I didn't say that he was a bad actor, on the contrary, usually he was good, sometimes very good. But when I'm thinking about those bad movies, for example "Angel" (one of the worst movie I ever saw) where he was very transparent, bland, shady and boring, I am not sure if his acting is so unique. But perhaps he isn't my cup of tea ... in fact, I hate tea, I love coffee ... so he simply isn't my cup of coffee :smile1:

Rubbin' it in the haters faces, huh? LOL!

Oh my. It's like we are this mission to convert/enlighten you. Have you seen Jane Eyre? If not, watch it and come back and tell us what you think in terms of acting of course.

I saw "Jane Eyre", "Shame", "Hunger" ... I know, he was good in them, I don't deny, but it's all :)
Thanks for conversation, I will not speak on this topic again. I am not his fan (although I respect him) and I shouldn't speak about him at all :flowers:

Cheer up ladies:D It's been a very busy weekend; I haven't had the chance of catching up with our thread. As I noticed there are some newbees who are not happy with our one and only Fassy. If you are wondering what we find in this guy, then lots of reading for you ladies. You should check the 330 pages so far to understand it. Here is one of the reasons for those who have difficulty catching the Fassy Fever:graucho:

I don't think there is any reason for you not to speak about him. If you are not a fan (yet), that's fine. As long as you have something to add to the discussion, it's all good.

What I don't like is when people come trolling to a thread and make remarks which they don't even back up with a good argument. If you hate him. Tell us why so we can continue the discussion.

You've obviously seen some of his films and you're not impressed (yet). I think you should see Xmen. Yes, it's not a great film, but Fassbender is superb in it. Fish Tank is another film you have to see. If you don't like him in these films than he's definitely not your cup of coffee. ;)
