That's not in Tottenham, but it's in Fitzrovia. Which is nearish Tottenham Court Road. He was supposed to attend the premiere of Payback Season in Covent Garden, but he didn't show up and neither did Tom Hardy.

Hey Artica...did you go along to this last night? The cinema is right opposite my office:laugh::laugh:

No way!! That is a great location to work. I'll bet Friday's at work are mostly spent in one of the gorgeous pubs in Covent Garden.

A case of amateurish PR jumping the gun at guest announcements because Hardy/Fass didn't explicitly decline the invitation, or a last-minute abandonment to instead watch the footy at a pub :drinks:? In any case, hope you didn't wait too long to get a glimpse of the men ... or that you got to see other actors and still have a good time!

Yeah, I popped by on my way to see Wanderlust. When I saw the list of 'Celebs' I thought: there is no way Fassy is gonna show up for this, but then the PA showed up with an amended list of celebs and Fassy's picture was on it. I think he went to the afterparty at the Hospital Club. Have you been there Soxy?

And it seems the Harrow for £ 29 000 / year was a good investment.

I love that he is so well educated too , not just intelligent.

Yeah, my heart bleeds for these rich actors. One of the cast members of Downton Abbey actually mentioned that a lot of the actors with rich parents are driving their working class colleagues out of the business, cause they can afford to work for free.

Fassy improving his research skills, a detective maybe for an upcoming role.:wondering

Body found in canal outside work, and Michael Fassbender in cafe watching police dredge it. #ItsAllGoingOnHere

Just spotted Michael Fassbender on Broadway Market. Defo livens up the task of trying to find out about a body pulled from the canal

I wondered about it and here is the story;

OMG, just read about that this evening's paper. They suspect that it's a former East Enders actress, who disappeared last Thursday into thin air. How horrible.

But he can act , so why would't he be an actor just because his granny could pay for a fancy school?

I want to see good actors and actresses , I do not care if their families are rich or poor.

And I do not want to see bad actors and actresses , no matter if they got parts due being rich or because they were "nice" to the right people.

You do not choose where you are coming from , but you choose what you are doing with your life...

I think I'm with you. It's kind of absurd how huge the acting "club" of former Etonians or Harrow students is.

But is there a comment from Steve McQueen anywhere about what he thinks of the attention the Fass-member has got? Because at some point I would love to know if he thinks the reaction has detracted from the film reception...

Well done on the multi-post reply, Art Love!!

If McQueen is upset about it, it's his own fault. He made Fassy take his pants off and made him the butt of all jokes in Hollywood. (And thank God he did :graucho:)

Fair enough. I'm not disputing Cumberbatch's abilities. I think he's a really good actor, but I also want to see good actors and it's a shame that sometimes only the well off ones end up on the big screen/or in the theatre while the rest has to wait tables. Eventually some of them get there, like Fassbender, but I just wish the industry could be a little fairer. Yeah I know, pipe dreams!
At least Cumberbatch made it on his own without a famous relative. I can't stand nepotism.

Paulo_talking - Michael Fassbender is eating pizza in Globe Stingray.. I knew they had the best pizzas in town!

I guess he didn't win a Genie, otherwise he might have been on his way to Canada to receive the award.

Don't you just love how he's going wild again after a week of good behaviour with Nicole?Guess, you can't domesticate the wild man. He comes across as someone who has to be around people ALL the time.

Ah nepotism, thy name is Hollywood. I tend to enjoy the success stories of middle/working-class peeps a bit more, because one knows they had to swim against the current like crazy to get to the top... and probably sacrificed loads to get there, money being the 1st sacrifice.

Fassy, keep it in check, hope you don't hurl on someone else's shoes ;). 'Tis a bit sad though, if he was getting drunk alone on a Wednesday night...hope he had at least a drinking buddy!

But generally speaking I agree with Artica & you.

There are so many talentless people who only has a career because of their parents are rich and/or famous...

At least Ben is talented and just happened to come from a privileged background :)

IA! Now, speaking of nepotism and privileged people, I saw an interesting picture of that Hearst girl, butt naked. Surely she can afford some clothes with her family money.

I agree.
