He's starting to become too good to be true with all these answers about overweight women being his usual type... I mean c'mon he has only dated skinny or porn looking women in the past [eating salads like there's no tomorrow] I doubt he would get it on with Melissa McCarthy anytime soon even if he says so. Polite answer for a noisy question TBQH, like he did about Chelsea Handler (he's watching her show my a$$).

But that's a lot of interesting questions answered in only 2 minutes, good job girls

Well, most men are not very realistic...

They often want that a woman eats normally , but without getting fat.

;)

Lainey is snarky, bitc*y, judgy, obviously favors some while blasts others but she's right about certain things - money and handling of events.

TIFF appearance should have been handled better by Michael's or studio's team. But I honestly doubt some journalist or film critic will have their panties in the twist because Michael was no-show at the premiere. Seriously, like Keira and Viggo are some C and D list stars and ADM needed Michael to sell well.

Let's not forget that Shame and The Descendants share the same studio and I'm guessing executives decided it would be more efficient to put all money on one horse aka The Descendants. From exec's POV, it's better to push Clooney because he's better known, has loads of HW connections, movie he is in is the type of movie Academy members love. Fox Searchlight is still pushing Michael but maybe not to that extent as Clooney because screenings of Shame went bad. To be exact - people hated it.

To get Oscar nom, an actor/actress has to work the circuit - press, critics and Academy members. Unless it's a really bad year and one has exceptional performance hence obvious lock from the start. Those who claim that they won't or don't do it, well they're lying. Look at Natalie Portman last year - she did every single thing to get that Oscar - pretty much like Clooney and Pitt this year.

ITA! Again, she's just upset that her little elite darling of the underground has become mainstream, in other words no Fassdong or Lainey.

Where did you read that people in Hollywood hated Shame? I thought it was doing pretty well box office and critics wise in the States.

The film is so popular in Britain. Every special screening of Shame has been sold out in a matter of minutes/hours. On the 20th of January, Michael will do a Q&A session at his local cinema in Hackney. It's already sold out.

Awww:

Here's exerpt from the interview with Clooney.

I was looking for a dog because I hadn't had one for a while — and I wanted one that was house-trained. I'm just terrible at house-training dogs. So I go online and see Einstein. They had a whole film about him. It was actually really sweet. You see him all beat up and **** in the shelter, and they show how they cleaned him up. God, I love this dog. So I called and said, "I like Einstein!"

Cal Fussman/Esquire

The Meaning of Life, From the World's Biggest Celebs

The woman goes, "Well, we don't know if Einstein will like you."

"Well, can I meet with Einstein?"

"Yes, we'll bring him to your house, but if he doesn't like you, he can't stay. We have to have good homes for these dogs." She sounded very serious.

Clooney's Lady, Like You've Never Seen Her Before!

Okay. I have this really long driveway, and I open the gate for them, and I start to panic that Einstein is not going to like me. So I run into the kitchen, where I have these turkey meatballs, and I rub them all over my shoes.

Is George Clooney One of the Best-Looking Men of All Time?

This woman opens the door, and who knew Einstein was such a food whore on top of everything? He throws himself at my feet.

She says, "I've never seen him react like that, ever!" And she left him with me on the spot. And forever, now, he just thinks of me as the guy with meatball feet. He loves me. I can do no wrong. He follows me everywhere.

And who could blame him?

Are you going?

;)

Michael will make his US talk show debut on David Letterman -.- Ugh I wish it was Craig...

Having seen only one show of Craig Ferguson, I like Letterman better. Even though he abuses poor Jamie Oliver, I still prefer him over Fallon and Kimmel.

I'll add to that as second note to media handlers: I know the lad doesn't care about appearing fashionable, but he's such a great modeling blank slate, get him a couple more suits ;). Zegna, Tom Ford ... the possibilities are endless!! Alas, it's the same rotating 5-6 ones, but at least it's been ironed properly for NBR ;)

ITA! First and foremost Michael needs properly fitted suit from top to bottom. The brand is not that important(though I would prefer E. Zegna) as long as it's perfectly fitted. I'm hoping some studio publicist will take over Michael's red carpet wardrobe during awards season.

LOL you're right - this one was at least properly ironed. :D And colour was nice too.

Yeah I heard about that, it will be held in the Hackney Picturehouse, not far from where he lives, I guess he'll be straight back to London after the awards season and promoting tour:
" Actor Michael Fassbender will join us for a Q&A after the 8.30 screening of SHAME on Friday 20th January. "

I also heard 'Shame' did really good on US box office with just a limited NC-17 rated release (it grossed an impressive $361,181 from just 10 theatres the 1st weekend only).

Poor guy, damned if you do answer nicely, damned if you don't (bc then you're a pig, skirtchaser, boring)! Can't someone happen to be a good chap without being called a crowd-pleasing sucker? ;)

That video of his interaction with Carey is super endearing and contradicts (thankfully!) what I misjudged from their photos with Keira at NBR. Because judging from Carey's stiff posture and serious face in all pictures next to him, I thought they didn't get along well or something!

Yes.

And many men say they like " natural looking women" , but they usually mean naturally beautiful women.

;)

That's because they were raised with images of porn stars and supermodels. They have no idea how real women are supposed to look.

Here's an interesting article you might want to read. It's a bit depressing though.

He gets a lawsuit on his a$$ ASAP that's what

These 2 women weren't really attractive IMO but still I was wondering if the threesome scene at the end of the film was entirely faked and if not how could you even fake a scene like this one to begin with [70's porn films would probably look faked next to this one] ? :hnsnsn:

That scene looked pretty real to me. I wonder what Deedee and Calamity meant when they said movie magic was used.
Surely this kind of stuff happens all the time. If you look for instance at that scene with Michael and Nicole, that stuff was off the hook (until the little malfunction of course).

Nope! I'm afraid we've become too jaded thanks to these smooth talking actors.

Steve actually mentioned during last night's Q&A that when he put Michael and Carey in a room together, they didn't seem to like each other. He said he was worried because there was no chemistry. Later on he realised that both of them were already in character.

I see you were paying extra attention to the Fassdong through those scenes :graucho::p
I was feeling secondhand embarrassment mostly because they all looked pretty real to me too (except the blow job part of course) and Michael's epic O-faces were also quite revealing...

Carey often appears as uptight and shy when Michael is all goofy and open minded, I can see why there was no real chemistry between them.

Indeed. I guess he likes women with the same metabolism as he has. Women who can eat like a horse and not put on any weight. Unfortunately those women are very rare. Most woman are on 1000 or 600 calorie diets for a hell of a lot longer than he ever was and nobody is giving them any awards for it. ;)

Ok I don't know about Michael but with healthy eater most men mean a girl/woman who isn't afraid of the food and enjoys eating it. I know it sounds like such a cliche but I've been told by my guy friends and male relatives that they sometimes don't know what to do with a girl who doesn't eat this or that out of fear of getting fat(even though they look perfectly normal). After a while it's exhausting to be with a person who spends a lot of the time thinking about diets or simply worrying how she looks like. That's where self confidence comes in play. :smile1:

Who knows, maybe Michael was thinking of someone with healthy eating habits not necessarily someone who eats a lot :p
