A Separation totally deserves #1 spot. :worthy:
Quotes from Michael from a recent Italian interview. Translated from a member of Michael Fassbender Online:
You cant NOT be religious, in Ireland. I was an altar boy at 12. I opened the churchs doors, I was by the priest during the mass. Ill never forget Father Galvin, he was one of the most important presences of my life, he was like a real father. Now, to be honest, I dont practice any more. I think religion is here and now (he beats his heart), I dont believe in heaven or hell, I think you just have to treat other people the way youd like to be treated.
Sure. I was a barman and I made auditions: this was my life for a while. It was natural for my father to tell me, go to the university, get a diploma. But in our family my sister is the intellectual one (shes a childrens neuropshycologist). So I said: dont waste your money for me.
So besides 12 Years A Slave Michael is pretty much a free agent (according to him) He will be working on some projects himself though:
I just like telling stories. Im working on my own stuff and Im really trying to invest time in that, he said. Im working with various writers and filmmakers, one guy [ex-Beta Band member turned filmmaker] John Maclean that Ive done two short films with already (Man on a Motorcycle, and Pitch Black Heist, the latter of which Fassbender exec-produced) and were working on a feature script at the moment. So Im focusing my energy into that until something really excites me, you know?
I could have sworn that John Maclean works at his UK agency Troika. I would love to see Pitch Black Heist again. It's a good short. Has anyone seen Man on a Motorcycle? Haven't been able to find it anywhere.
