So I thought I'd just pop in on one of my favorite threads in this forum and post an update pic of my black metallic edge city from 2014, when it first came out. Amazingly enough, after all these years, it STILL looks brand new and still as beautiful. Over the summer, I popped into neimans and the SA thought my bag was recently purchased. Definitely my favorite bag I've ever purchased. Here's a pic of my bag today after using it for several years.

Fyi The shiny leather in the bottom only covering half.
The seller said it's not a defect and it's from the bag itself because it is a handmade bag. She told me to bring my bag to balenciaga store to make it sure it's not a defect

The bottom of the tassel wouldn't bother me too much but whatever's going on with the strap looks like a defect. Is there a little piece missing? Hard to tell from the pic.

The tassel will split & the other area you've highlighted looks to me like a loose thread. Both these things happen over time anyway. I personally wouldn't be too concerned with either issue

So you're saying that this is normal?
It looks like the shiny leather at the bottom is not covering the whole leather. If yoi can see it has a different colour. One leather is shiny and the other one is matte.
Is it okay?

Depends on your tolerance I guess. A thread can be clipped off if it's just a little superficial piece. And a bit of Edgekote and sealant could probably make your tassels match. Or is the tassel just split? Leather glue will fix that if so...I'm finding it hard to tell exactly what's going on from the pics. But if it's a brand new bag are you happy with doing a little DYI on it?
@muchstuff the tassel is not split. It's just like that. Part shiny and part matte. Im not 100% happy, but yeah... i think i'm going to try accept my bag like this because there's so much to do to refund and packing etc.
@BPC yesh the tassel bother me so much! But since everyone saying that it is normal then, i'll try to accept it.
