I also think the white is beautiful. It's just such a pure and crisp white, it looks like a dream or something! BUT, I have two issues with this white ME. 1. I can't justify spending this much on a bag just to feel incredibly anxious about getting it dirty. It would surely live a lonely life in its dustbag :sad: and 2. I don't think a white ME bag will age as nicely as a white RH bag. To me the RH almost already has a vintage vibe so even if the bag discolors slightly or whatever, it wouldn't bother me as much (although, I still wouldn't by a RH white at full price either!) and might even start to look kinda cool. The ME has a sleeker look and won't look as good worn vs. RH. Just my two cents. I had to convince myself to step away from a white ME city at Neiman Marcus a month or so ago.

The appeal of the distressed leather that looks better with use and the light weight of Balenciaga is how I got hooked. I have many Chanels, LVs and a few other brands. Honestly, I almost always reach for one of Bals, especially for traveling.

Maybe, it's the metallic edge style that is not you? I am intrigued by some of the lighter colors in that style. I have several black bags, so I'll pass on it.

Btw, my I couldn't wear/keep my bags on my shoulder at first. The handles eventually molded to my shoulders with time. I hope that gives you hope.

I am still deciding, but I think I might have to have a ME in black!

In regards to interior lining, has anyone experienced color transfer of black dye of interior on light colored SLGs?
I have an LV SLG in azur print I wouldn't want to get black on.

I have two black ME Cities and there have been no transfers of any sort on to lighter SLGs from the interior lining.

Just ordered my second ME City- a dark blue with gold from Neimans. I have a black from 2013 that is one of my favorite bags and really wanted one in blue. I really wanted the dark blue in the ME Velo and I was going to wait but I got a notice that Neimans was doing the double gift certificate deal and it was 8% cash back on ****** so I ended up getting $170 back and a $600 Neiman's Gift Certificate.

I ordered a black ME online and picked up in store. Unfortunately, the bottom of the bag has some tiny areas of faint peeling! (I will try to get some pics but they are so hard to photograph)
Luckily I caught it in the store and they are ordering me a new bag. But this is so disheartening :(
Is this a common problem with this leather/color? I can understand if it was with use but this is a brand new bag.

Hopefully you can see the peeling.
It's on a few areas near the bottom. Maybe this is a return and it was scratched up?
What a gorgeous bag though. It's a shame :(

It looks pretty similar to Bleu Obscur, a gorgeous deep navy blue with a hint of indigo in certain lights. The hardware is a blingy yellow-yellow gold.

Love your Velo! I just picked up the same bag in the City and now I'm second guessing my choice to get the City instead of the Velo. :/
