Quick question...has anyone seen the Dark Sea metallic edge in real life or have a comparison shot with Bleu Nuit metallic edge? Seen that one in real life and love it...just want to compare. Thanks for the help! Also, anyone been using the Gris Perle metallic edge? How is it wearing/showing dirt? Love it and the dark blue and just want to compare my options. Thanks!

The matte leather was from the original collection of pebbled chèvre bags in the holiday 2012 collection, which was not metallic edge. For that specific collection they called it Hamilton Chèvre, or referred to as Holiday Hamilton. That chèvre was more matte, and it came in burgundy, poppy, black, light gray, bronze (a pearl metallic dark gray) and pale pink (perhaps some others i'm forgetting). The metallic edge bags are the same pebbled chèvre but there is a higher shine on them. Some of the lighter colors do not reflect the shine as much as the darker ones: the white and the maldives from this season both appear less shiny (IMO). I also didn't think the dark blue looked quite as shiny. HTH

You don't see many on eBay because the ME line is still really new and very popular. People have just recently invested in them and are still carrying them. The 2012 Holiday Hamiltons were a limited run and as such are highly coveted and rarely come up for sale. The Hammies do pop up from time to time, but you have to be both vigilant and quick... they go fast. The Metallic Edge do pop up from time to time as well, but also generally don't last very long. They'll start showing up on eBay and consignment sites more after some time has passed and people have used them and decide to trade out, or have decided its a bag they don't use much and decide to sell. But do keep your eyes open, they do come up, particularly in Black as it was one of the earliest and is always the most popular color (but not the black holiday hamilton. those never come up... sadly for those of us who didn't get one!)

Where are you located? Some U.S. Retailers may still have it. I have this Bag too... I was told that Bal would not restock silver, and they may not have, but the retailers did. try Neimans, MyTheresa in the UK, Matches Fashion and hgbagsonline.com. Or also Keep your eyes on Reebonz they seem to get a small quantity of ME bags on a regular basis. Do not worry, you might not find it today but there is still one out there for you.
A quick check of *matches fashion and it has the "champagne" hardware, which is such a pale gold it looks silver unless you examine it closely.
