It is if I hold it up against the sunlight. Lying flat, its not obvious unless im looking for the triangles.

Thanks for your reply! Hm, I notice my triangles peeking through when it’s laying flat. I do have to focus my eyes on it, lol, but the silk seems slightly thinner than my other MTs. But it was also a S/S scarf, which may account for its lighter feel? Everything else looks authentic on it. I’m just concerned since I had to buy it from a reseller (Fashionphile.) I’m paranoid of superfakes...

It's the only maxi twilly i have, so i unfortunately dont have a point of comparison on how thin the silk is. I feel like this wasn't a very popular scarf though (don't get me wrong, I love it and it was love at first sight for me...the color saturation is amazing), but I don't think I noticed it being talked about in the seasonal scarf threads... I have to imagine if someone was going to take the time to make a fake, they'd have chosen something more popular or easier to replicate? Then again, people copy the craziest things, so who knows..

I fell in love with it at first sight, too! Unfortunately that was after it sold out at boutiques and online. I have heard Maxi Twillies are hard to authenticate because they laser print them.

Here are photos of mine. First is holding it up to mild light. Second is holding it flat against a white couch. I dont know if theres a shadow in your photo but the green looks a bit off - should be more of the aquamarine in the top right of my second photo.

The carriage color is off because of my poor lighting and camera phone - it’s actually the same color as yours. All the colors are spot on. It’s only this thinness that gives me pause.
I think Fashionphile may have over-ironed the scarf. It doesn’t have the loft of a fresh MT, even though they listed it as “new”.
Thanks so much for your photos. My triangles do show more than yours, but I’ll examine it laying flat in other light.

@papertiger - I tried my Ex Libris as a hair band finally last week! (Had a cotton knit hairband under it to "hold it" in place and protect the silk.

I think I like Lettre aC more as a MTC than the 90s. Ad it would make a very nice present for a man too.

I agree. The ones that have been shown so far look like they could easily be for either. The L au C transferred well to the MT format.
The original length of the Maxi Twilly is no longer produced. No one knows why as H isn't very forthcoming with communicating these changes as usual.My first Maxi Twilly (original size) and actually my first scarf bigger than a twilly. Originally bought the Maxi to use as a strap for the Evelyne.
Since I'm such a scarf newbie, does anyone know why H changed the Maxi twilly size? Was it just a cost cutting measure? Can you still buy the longer length Maxi in the store or do you have to go the reseller route? TIA!
