I actually just tried on one recently and was not seduced into buying it. I preferred the longer original ones.
I still love them too (again...fell out and in and out and in again) and have decided both sizes are good for slightly different things. Have yet to buy a shorter one, as I am chasing one from the last couple of years but may eventually give up and pick a more recent one.

I don't like the new size at all
Sadly I only have 1 old style Maxi Twilly.. I love the designs of the new maxi twillys, but I don't like the length.
Yeah the length difference is pretty significant! I didn't try on the new version...I should have *face palm*. I'm actually thinking this shorter version may be more preferable for me because I always feel my zebra pegasus maxi twilly is too long when I wear it. Though this could just be my inexperience in wearing/knotting this format

yes- it's taken me some time with these old longer ones. I really like the tie I used above which starts in back, wraps to front, then back again, and finally finishes off with a weave knot in the front. You can start in front, wrap to back and wrap around to the front and do the weave knot, but the tails will be a lot longer. you might try that with the ZP to use up some material and shorten the tails. My other one is ZP. I need to play around with it some more too and post a pic.
I think this may be the longer variation that starts with the center of the MT in front and just wraps once but i could be wrong and it may be the same!

I'm going to have to try out wearing them like this. I have 2 MT's that I really like but don't wear much.
I've been playing with them a lot again (I guess since it is cool and mild out right now) and have been enjoying them again. The real trick for me will be what to do in summer with them.....
Do you have an SA that can do a search? There's probably not a huge chance of success, but you never know. The oldest ones I saw were the Famingo Party one, and it was on the Canada site.
