Ohhh so many lovely colours, love to come back to this thread (many thanks for lovely comments for my prev post). I can't think about next ones, still deep in trouble choosing from current offering!

Defeated (blame my weak will) and got one more... and enjoyed quick 10min expriment with various bags (sadly not all H, sorry) - just love the fact my simple work dress could be enjoyed so many combo, with this one Maxi twilly ;

And I tried to 'bring out' each colour, just like little kids step forward and sing solo, iykwim.

Love the pop of colour on H!!! No other brand can do this on silk (Gucci, nearly perhaps imo).

Looking gorgeous rats.......I think you might of enabled me to get this colour.......was going to choose the green colour in this design but your pics have sold this colour to me :D

Are any of you maxi twilly owners looking at the regular twillies and feeling like they are a little small? Do you think you will ever go back to the smaller size? I am trying to figure out if there is room for both sizes in my wardrobe or if I am a permanent maxi twilly convert? I guess I still need the smaller size to spruce up my hats. I'm not comfortable with a huge piece of silk trailing behind me like Rapunzel...

Oh my goodness Dilsta - I nearly fainted when I saw you put me on the legendary list! I've just started playing with H silks and feel like a newbie so was very flattered when I saw your post. Really though - it's so nice that we all have a forum to share our knots and creative tying techniques with each other. I have learned so much from all the scarfies here! :hbeat:

Trying out ways to wear the maxi while on my way to work today. The first one was meh! So I'm now wearing it in the office like the second photo. Please excuse my wrinkly neck. Thanks for letting me share! View attachment 2339090View attachment 2339091
Dilsta - this looks spectacular on you. And just for the record - you do not have a wrinkly neck. I see you have the same problem as me though - the seatbelt gets in the way of our scarves! I think it's a pain that I have to gently lift my specially created knot (which is artfully arranged just so...) over the seatbelt every time I buckle up. That is the worst part of wearing a scarf and getting into a car. I'm terrified the seatbelt will snag my scarf or ruin my scarf arrangement!

I love these maxi twillies! They are pretty, versatile & gentle on my purse. A few days ago I thought I might want to phase out my 140 silk. But today I discovered sth I don't like. I saw tiny spots of frayed silk thread stickng out of the twilly in a # of places. I guess these twillies may not be as long lasting as my 90s or moussies!:sad:

I think there's room in a collection for both.

The normal twilies are very useful for wrapping bag handles, practically compulsory for vintage 1951 bag and also for croc/lizies/ostriches/etc. Easy to wear in the hair and wrap round the wrist, hang pendents from and use as hair and hat bands....

The Maxi is such a different scarf. So far i like it simply worn, but I'm working on other purposes. For instance with a bikini top or black bra I'm really optimistic about a holiday Summer top (which I think the Brazil lends its self to).

I have the exact one that wowed me but don't want want to buy too many this time around as only time will tell if it's the scarf I reach for. So far this season I haven't taken my CDC 90 off and have yet to even wear my maxi

So I understand correctly; your maxi twilly is fraying?

Yes, I would say so. I am so sad. One is fraying & one got snagged. Can any knowledgeable tpfers comment here? Am I too rough on my maxis or is their quality to blame?

:shucks:

That's not so good. I doubt you're too rough on them, I mean, you have hardly owned it for any length of time and I would hope for many years of durability. Snags are one thing, it can happen, but fraying?
Is there any way you can exchange it, maybe it's an unfortunate solitary faulty one, I hope.
Sorry to hear, D Lee.

Yes MYH, the car seatbelt does get in the way of the knot. I live in the tropics, and by the end of the day, even with this AC on at full blast in the office, I was feeling a little warm. I'm trying to master the obi belt tie next. Yes MYH you are... Wait for it... Le-gendary!!! 😝sorry couldn't help the corny reference to HIMYM

I noticed a tiny mark/stain on my twilly too. Not sure if it's from my using it ( have only used it once) and doesn't look like a snag. Hope there's no quality issue with these maxis.
