It is TEDGIRL. Here’s a few more. Maybe it’s ok? I love the navy, but they also have one called cuio? Really appreciate the feedback x I got it 15% off from 24S so I’m inclined to keep it. I’ll check for an XS for the next few days to be sure they don’t get a return

I totally understand that the original Max Mara teddy is of superb quality and the cheaper polyester ones cannot be compared to it. However, I’m thinking to buy a cheap one to see if the style works for me and then move on to the real one... I feel a little uncomfortable paying the premium price only to realize that it’s doesn’t work with my lifestyle... what do you think?

TedGirl runs big but really do think the oversized look is FAB!!

I’m totally on board with this. It’s a big commitment for something you are not sure you are going to love. Aritzia just came out with a teddy coat. It’s only 27% wool but it looks well made.

Oh, Aritzia has beautiful things, but I think they don’t ship where I’m located, or if they ship, I have to pay a lot on duties...

It looks bad after getting wet but you can gently dry the fibers and brush them, then it’ll be ok and smooth again. Brushing is really key! I don’t wear mine in rain ever, after i realized that issue. The classic camel one is made of camel wool and silk, the other of alpaca, virgin wool and silk ;)

What’s the difference with the camel on the classic and why the others are alpaca?

Well I ordered the gray teddy coat which came in the alpaca and I also ordered the icon tan teddy coat in the camel hair...the camel one is much thicker and warmer...the new teddy coat doesn't feel as warm the camel hair one...Also, I notice a little difference in the fit..the icon tan teddy runs a little bigger....I like the fit on the gray one better but didn't like the feel of it ...it felt like a cheaper version of the icon one....So I kept the icon tan teddy and returned the gray.

I love the look but unsure if I can pull it off without making an almost $4000 investment.

As a result, I got the 100% wool Yves Salomon teddy which I hope looks good! I debated between it and brands like Aritizia (20ish % wool), but I’m hoping Yves, with its fur and coat expertise, will create a kick ass one!

Side note, Yves coats come in XXS in Teddys for all you petite ladies. I got a XS because I was worried XXS would have very short sleeves.
