I realized I never shared my latest bags here. Bronze metallic straight flap Iride(it’s darker irl) I requested a chain with larger links than the standard size and chose the shoulder carry length. Topazio Velvet Verona Demetra Alto-trimmed version. Hard to capture the true color of Topazio. It is a beautiful turquoise that’s darker and more vibrant in real life.IMG_3799.jpegIMG_3800.jpeg

This is gorgeous.

I am not really good at doing modshots and do not enjoy doing them but I thought I would show my lovely Milano crossbody bag in Natural Cuoio Toscano with dark blue lining and brass hardware. For reference I am 5' 4" and 122 lbs.

Hi all! These bags look amazing! I've been really fancying a new handbag. New mum and I just want something non-baby and fancy to make me feel me again and grownup!!

I had fallen in love with the proenza schouler ps1 (medium) but would rather have something new and bespoke for not much more than the price I'd probably pay second hand for that.

I want a crossbody/ shoulder in a sort of satchel/ messenger style in a nice soft leather that will wear beautifully. I love gunmetal hardware.

I'd been thinking black but some of the dark greys are quite lovely and I saw someone on here who'd done red side panels and red edge paint which looked amazing.

I'm a rocker at heart though I've gone for quite traditional bags in the past.

Just not sure what bag and leather to go for! Any guidance? I want to carry a small purse, 500ml water bottle, kindle and probably space for some kid stuff (snacks, small toy)

I love the look of Valerie but the little is definitely too small and the standard looks a little big, how does anyone who has it find it?

Welcome @ZoeQ31 and congratulations on the new baby : ) . I think most of the MM bag discussion, with a lot of members from here, are over at the FB Massaccesi BST & Chat group -- if you head over there, you should get some good answers to your questions! And there's also, under Media, an album of photographs of just Valerie and Little Valerie, with mod shots and also comparison shots so you can get a better idea of size.

So this thread convinced me to give Massaccesi a try! I ordered the Vivienne Midi in dark blue Cuoio Toscano. Marco was a pleasure to work with. I asked for, and took, his recommendation for a leather type that would age well over time. So that is how I ended up with this choice, even though it didn't really have the color I was interested in. I would have preferred a blue a little less dark.

Anyway, I wanted to give a review and will say that I am enjoying this bag. I wore it 8 days in a row when I first got it and also this past weekend. I took it on a road trip to New York City, to my son's jiujitsu, to farm fall festivities. It is very comfortable and casual, huggable even, and has only one major flaw. I was able to customize the strap drop and the strap width, and so it is perfect in that respect. It is comfortable as a shoulder bag and excellent as a crossbody. It comes with separate shoulder and crossbody straps. The front pocket is very handy, though it is just barely big enough for my iphone and I don't have one of the bigger ones. If I had a bigger phone, I would have been pretty disappointed as the main reason I like external pockets is for my phone. As it is, I can fit the phone in there, but I do have to push it to the very very bottom to get that pocket to zip. The fabric lining is quite interesting. It is not soft at all, and it is ribbed / corrugated, like a thick or heavy grosgrain ribbon. Kind of like handles on a gift bag, but thicker. I actually like it as it would wipe cleanly easily, and it appears to be a sturdy material. I think this bag overall will last a really long time. The bag has side pockets that are mostly not usable for me. They are too tight to really get in and out of easily. But the biggest flaw of this bag is the top zipper. It is very hard to zip closed again once you open the bag all the way. Even with two hands. You really have to pull on it and line it up and fiddle with it to zip close again, and it has put a bit of a damper on my satisfaction with this custom order. But all in all, it's a very nice bag. The leather is wonderful, of course.

Here are some pics.

Your bag looks great! It’s unfortunate that your zipper has issues. I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone share that they’ve had that problem. I hope, over time, it will loosen up and be easier to close.

Oh dear - zipper struggling is SO hopelessly annoying. Hmm... Could it be that the zip is too long? That at max opening the opening extends beyond the leather on either side of the top opening? If so, I know of a couple of solutions. Can you post a photo showing the end of your zip when fully opened ?

Thanks. I don't know much about zippers. In a perfect world, all bag zippers would be sew in to the end with no gap and you could zip and unzip with one hand, but I only currently have 1 bag like that! To be sure it wasn't just me, I did give it to my husband and ask him to zip it, and he struggled with it too. Here are 2 pics, one with the end of the zip strip tucked in (how I'd prefer it) and one with it pulled out.
