How long before the forum allows you to post pictures? We can't wait to see...but until then tell us what you love out your Aphrodite! Thus is for selfish reasons as Aphrodite is next on my list unless Selene makes me Lise focus, which is always a possibility!
Hi, it says 5 posts and 5 days minimum. Yes that was my bag and I got it today and it has purple lining. I'm 5'4 and worried that compared to the model the bag would turn out a bit big. But the size is perfect, a pure midi size. My ideal is 12" wide maximum and this is perfect. The shoulder straps are spot on for length - exactly right for carrying either way. I would say that the long strap is too long but I'll leave it on just for decoration. I have the smooth leather and it stands up but I feel it will soften. I took loads of photos because this bag made me look good but you'll have to wait 😜

I ordered the gray with black handles Aphrodite and I am waiting for my all purple Aphrodite to arrive. It shipped late last week. I know you are going to love the Aphrodite style it is a gorgeous bag.
Thanks djfmn - do you like the way the Aphrodite becomes narrower at the top? I do, it looks super elegant like that. I was going to order the bag you have but I only wear silver hardware so I went for a bespoke. I asked Valentina to ask Marco to surprise me with any grey leather and he chose horizon grey. I love it.

I think it's been just slightly over 1 week. Must be patient! So hard though.

You're right about the size. It IS the perfect size. I thought it would be a bit too large for me too, but it's just right. There's so many things I love about it. The leather will definitely soften with use ... mine is starting to soften and fold down a bit when you set it down.
Marco did a great job in choosing the grey!! Congrats on your new bag! Hope to see more pics of it.

We can be patient together! It is amazing it is just slightly over a week, Moonstarry, it felt longer to me too and it's not even my bag! LOL Cannot wait to see it and your as always gorgeous pictures dear! Hang in there!
I backed and forthed with Valentina today, and she said Marco is now offering one-color Aphrodites for those who don't want different colored handles. The only thing is that the cow hide handles might not take the dye in the same way the pebbled leather does. So it COULD be the cow hide handles will be just a tad off from the color of the pebbled leather body of the bag. Also, Marco said he cannot use plain pebbled leather for the handles because it is not strong enough and will not form a proper handle. So he's going to play with pebbled handles by using a stiff backing material inside them. This stiff backing will make the pebbled handles stronger, and the handles will have nicer handle shapes.
So if you want the cow hide handles, you have to keep in mind the colors MIGHT not be the same as the body of the bag. And he will let us know how the pebbled handles do with the stiff material inside them.
The cost of one-color Aphrodites will be 25 / $32 more than the basic Aphrodite. So they will still be less expensive than the Bespokes.

That is great news Moon! And so interesting about the leathers and handles. I love that they are sharing so much about the creative process! It makes me feel like I am there with them during the creating. Thanks for posting this info!

I just tried to post some mod shots of my Aphrodite but I'm still restricted. It could be the time difference but I will try tomorrow. I see that there is a new thread so will post them there
MissFrosty I love the way the Aphrodite is narrower at the top. It is really elegant and sophisticated. I just love it. This was the first bag I bought from Massaccesi and I have to say the Aphrodite is my favorite style. I think that is because it was my first. Followed by a Zhoe and another Aphrodite. I am about to order a Selene an Aphrodite for my daughters birthday she wants the purple with grey straps and unfortunately I saw the midi Minerva today and I think I have to have one of those in bronze. I am totally broke on bag purchases. All my bag slush fund is depleted. Completely depleted.
I am also 5' 4" and the long strap is too long for me. On my all purple Aphrodite I asked them to put 2 extra holes on the strap. I think I am going to ask them to make me a shorter strap in black just the part at the top for my grey and black APhrodite. It is just too long on me. I am going to see how the purple strap works with the extra holes and maybe if the strap was shorted a couple of inches maybe an inch and a half on either side of the strap for a total of 3 inches that might work. My daughter is only 5 feet tall so I am going to have to ask them to shorten the strap and remove some of the links for her bag.
Moon as you know I ordered the all purple single color Aphrodite. When I ordered it I was told by the lovely Valentina that because the bag is made of pebbled leather and the handles are from cow hide that the dye takes differently on the different leathers and that the color might be slightly different. I told her I was fine with that and I understood that it might be slightly different. I wanted my second Aphrodite to be all one color even if the shade on the bag was different to the handles that would not matter to me. I did not want the contrast of another color strap for my second Aphrodite.
I think being able to order a one color Aphrodite is wonderful customer service. I am super excited to get my all purple Aphrodite along with the lovely orange Zhoe.
