I think it can easily be worn over the shoulder with the handles if stuffed really full...it depends on how heavy it is when stuffed to wear with the strap - .

you AND the bag are gorgeous! Is that a large?
Medium size fits you well. MT looks good even if stuffed. Love it!![]()

cinnabun4chu looks great on you!
can small straps go over your shoulder?
I measured and the according to HG website, the Large MT has similar dimensions to the LV Keepall 50. Those of you who have it or have seen it, do you think it would make a good plane carryon to fit in the overhead bin? Erica, or anyone else, do you think the strap placement could support what one might put in a keepall, or do you think it should it be handheld only under those circumstances (if it seems like it could be a carryon)?
oops! my bad!I think it can easily be worn over the shoulder with the handles if stuffed really full...it depends on how heavy it is when stuffed to wear with the strap - maybe inparis can comment - she has the large and uses often on a daily basis. I do know it will fit really great on the plane, either under your seat or overhead. It will slouch down and fit nicely. Plus I truly think it's got to be the lightest weight bag in it's class - so many of the large weekend type bags are heavy before you even stuff them.
oops! my bad!
I meant to get back to you and life got in the way...
The handles are gorgeous and sturdy and I can wear them easily, even over a winter leather jacket with the large MT filled to the brim -- and beyond(I've completely taken off the strap as I never use it -- and haven't missed it in the least.)
There should be no problem with this in the overhead bin. Under your plane seat may be a bit more of a chore, depending on how much you stuff in it (it can take a huge amount) and the size of the seats. It will slouch and smush, but some domestic flights when you're traveling cattle class may be a bit iffy.
The pros of this bag for travel. It's light light light, meaning almost all the weight is dependent what you put in it, not the bag itself... When you're traveling long and have a fair bit of walking and every ounce counts, this is a godsend! The handles are lovely and sturdy and don't seem to ever slip off the shoulder. The closeness of the bag to your body when carried this way adds extra security.
(Speaking of security, when I was doing a shorter train journey, I threw my B-bag City in the MT when I was in a dodgy area... The handles on the MT are so well-made that no one would consider me an easy mark... I also like that it is stylish yet unidentifiable whereas LV screams take me, I'm a tourist.)
On the cons, the bag is quite thin so if there is anything delicate (breakable) inside, you'll need to protect it further. (Keep in mind that whilst I say it is thin, it's also quite hardy -- I've had sharp objects with nary a rip.) ...My biggest bugbear is the placement of the interior pocket and/or lack of an exterior one for things such as your boarding pass and wallet/passport/identification.
All in all, I think this bag is a brilliant for travel!
Erica please tell me that I am crazy![]()
