I just got my medium anthra gold hw marco!
I have to say I'm pretty disappointed in how thin and dry the leather is...
The shape and color I love, but the leather is so disappointing.
I was looking forward to it since some people describe this like bal leather, but this isn't like bal leather.. it's TOO THIN! Now I'm contemplating whether or not I should keep it..

I am sorry to hear that... I sent mine back because I was not crazy about it either...

I got the Large Black w/ Gold HW and while I thought the leather was a bit thin, I must say that the bag is a major-league workhorse! I had originally also ordered the Large Dark Green, but since the Large size is almost like an XL size, I figured that I would get a Medium-sized bag instead (Erica was great to deal with!).

I just got the Medium Dark Blue .. and other than the stitching, you would swear that the bag is Black .. it is THAT dark! Secondly, the bag is a lot smaller than I had imagined .. probably equivalent to the Balenciaga City (having looked at the pics of the Olsen twins - I should have remembered that they are quite tiny and that everything looks larger on them!), I have to say that the leather on this bag is definitely not as good as the Black bag; haven't quite decided if I want to keep it or not. Generally speaking, this is a "small" bag for me .. as I carry a LOT of stuff. Kinda disappointing overall ...

so after owning this bag for a day and just keep modeling it.. I've decided to keep this bag. I don't think I'll invest in another one unless the thickness of the leather changes.

I love the look and the shape and how it holds up while u carry it, but it was a little hard to get over how thin the leather is. Also how crappy the inside looks. The pocket inside is just two pieces of really thin leather and the phone pocket has holes in the corner. Leather's also a little dry to me. Anyone tried conditioning it yet?

Well, I carried my medium over the weekend, and it (unintentionally) took a beating. But it still looks like new except for one faint scratch on the flap. I'm going to try conditioning it later to see if the scratch will buff out. My hubby and I went out of town for the weekend, and it was like Murphey's law I would keep bumping the bag into everything, dropped it, spilled water in it...but it did hold up very well. There were a few times where I had an "OMG, does everyone think I'm carrying an Hermes knockoff" moment, but I had several compliments on the bag. I love how lightweight it is...I even carried an extra pair of shoes in it while we were shopping.

I wouldn't say it's my favorite bag ever, but I am enjoying it.

I put my bag away last week and went back to my RM mini nikki. And after reading your post I just packed up my MT again and have fallen in love again. I carried her for about a week straight and I got a little tired of holding it in my hand or on the crook of the arm so I put her away. The bag is definitely a workhorse my only issue is that the messenger strap is almost useless because I like quick easy access so I tend not to close my bags and we all know that we can't use the strap and leave the bag open. But I'm very happy with the bag. I wouldn't buy another color though unless of course the straps were longer then I would. :graucho:

I totally agree over how cumbersome it is with the straps and buckles. When I use the longer strap, I hook the little decorative strap thingies over the little hooks (I seriously don't know what to call the things) and then lay the flap over on top of that and twist it closed, then I can reach my hand down the side of the bag and dig out what I need.

Where do you keep the lock?

I have a drawer in my dresser where I store all of my unused locks in ziploc bags with written on the outside and also a paper on the inside which tell the bag from which it came...

Where do you keep the lock?

Please, Please be careful about closing your bag this way. From what I have seen in the photos if the turnlock on the MT is unfastened the whole bag slouches forward and everything falls out and it would be really scary if a pickpocket were to quickly unfasten your bag while it's on your shoulder. Please read this thread from a dear pfrmer in the Hermes thread who had her wallet stolen from her kelly which was fastened with only the turnlock. Bear in mind that the kelly is a much structured bag than the MT.

Rockin my MT today. I'm in love again.

I have the lock hanging of off one of the straps. If I put it away I know I will misplace it or my kids take it.

Looks fabulous on you!!

I just conditioned my MT. I had a small amount of dye lift off the bottom, but nothing scary. Maybe they overdye the bottom so it will wear better? I used LMB's silk serum. I also didn't think it was that dry before, but it is definitely super silky after. I would have taken pictures, but there really isn't a visual difference.
