This whatchammacallit First arrived. I’m delighted!! It’s so different, like Batman would proudly carry it.
It comes with some unusual details. You wouldn’t believe the acrobatics I had to perform to get a shot of the zipper back. It’s a Lampo, but in a font/style I’d never seen. It’s also a much thicker, heftier zipper, even on this First.
It gratuitously comes with a tiny (and I mean tiny) black whistle, on which they bothered to engrave the Bal logo.
The original hardware is/was black, but woefully rubbed off. I’m thinking I might rub all the black off the hardware to expose the brass/muted gold underneath, which actually goes better with the gold metal mesh accents on this bag.

Can I get a clear pic of the zipper head and the front and back of the tag? Sorry, I know it's hard, maybe try putting your phone in and taking it?
By zipper head do you mean the back side of the zipper where the lampo logo is, or somewhere else? The photo I've posted (lampo is in ALL CAPS) I took with my phone inside the bag. there was no turning out the zipper. The zipper is like nothing I've seen on any Balenciaga bag. It's huge and all black, like a black Humvee zipper.
Yeah it's the Lampo I was hoping to get a better look at. The tag is the same as other glazed calfskin bags I've seen. Can you remind me where you purchased this from?

It's OK don't bother. I've found several, and we discussed it back in 2020. I'm trying to pull up more info.I'll try with the zipper again.

So, if, according to the post I quoted, this style was in TJ Max by 2012, it was probably a 2011 style. We don't have TJ Max in Canada, is it outlet? It wasn't any earlier than 2011 based on the tag. I'm stumped by that zipper, I'm not sure I've seen it before.
