yeah, i remember reading that article awhile ago. that's when i was introduced to olivia palermo and her scheming socialite, blair waldorf-esque ways. i'm an obsessed subscriber to ny magazine. i love them even more ever since i discovered the bloggers on the site provide hilarious episode recaps/reality indexes of each episode and they're just as devoted to the show as the next 12 year old girl who aspires to be serena.
pm, the show gets better. the first few episodes are slow. i have a feeling you'll be hooked once you get to victor, victrola, which imo is the best episode of the first season.
It is so good. I caught an episode and then I went back and rented the 1st and 2nd seasons. After that, I was hooked. You should rent them and watch them back to back. I love that show! I haven't seen Mad Men, either. I need to rent the first season and watch that. I still have never seen an episode of Six Feet Under. Even though it is off the air, I really want to see that show!
