Goodnight, Gracie!

I'm so bummed. DH and I were supposed to go out ALONE tomorrow night for the first time in months, and my dad screwed up and made plans b/c he didn't know my mom had committed to watch the kids. We have random crap scheduled (socializing for DH's work, etc.) all through January so now we're looking at February as the next time we could have a date:crybaby:I don't know why but I'm seriously disappointed right now. I think after all the holiday chaos I just wanted some quiet time with my honey, KWIM?

aww pm that stinks!! isn't there anyone else that could watch them?

my dh and i go months like that without having a 'date night' (that's what dd calls it when she stays w/ my mom for us to go out) and it soo nice to finally get to go again!

hey ladies!

PM, that sucks about your cancelled date night--why don't you get a sitter and then have your parents pick up the kiddies after they're done with their plans?

Unfortunately we don't have any sitters b/c we have two sets of grandparents in town who can usually watch the kids. DH's parents are going to see Celine Dion in KC tomorrow night so we're out of luck.

I never had sitters, either. We always had grandparents, too. It's much nicer for the kids, but when you do need a sitter, you're out of luck! Sorry to hear about your cancelled night. I swear, it gets better......when they're teens and they can stay by themselves! I am not kidding, but I think it was 3 years before I got a nights sleep when I first had my kids. I have blocked out some of those times when I was sleep deprived and never saw a "non-kiddie" movie.
