Thanks for the comparison! Do any of you lucky owners have reviews of the calf leather bags? I'm eyeing my first MG, a Navy bucket - wondering if it is worth the extra $ over the vegetable tanned leathers.

I have both, and the calf is really lovely too. It is a very different look than the veg tanned, and shows less variation, and no patina. I have found the corners taking more of a beating, or at least more noticeable. I have royal, red and rosa in the calf leather. The ties are also softer to begin with than the tanned leather.

If you look at the general thread someone posted about the tumble leather. It actually has no shape whatsoever and lies flat like a pancake without anything inside. They put a purse organizer inside which gave some shape and looked pretty nice!

Check out my posts! I just purchased the reg black tumbled leather and at first I was iffy about the slouchiness but now I actually really like it. The leather smells lovely and the look is a little more casual. I just got a veg tanned mini brandy so I'll post a photo of both when I receive it so you can see the difference.. it's definitely a different look but the smell/quality of the leather makes it a nice choice.

Does anyone have or has seen the Flamma Canvas tote? I'm thinking of getting one for my mom, but wondering whether this color/canvas combo is as elegant and versatile as their leather versions.

As elegant? Not in my opinion. Are they still great.. sure! I also think the leather bags are more versatile because they can be dressed up or down but the canvas can't really be dressed up. The canvas is more casual to me. (I have a flamma canvas mini bucket and a leather tote)

Is the saffiano leather smooth or grainy textured?
How different is it from the calf - just harder? Can't compare these in person and I'm musing over the saffiano from Barneys..

I can't compare to calf coated, but compared to the veg, its abot the same thickness. It is grainy like a permanent stamp on the entire bag. If anything, Barneys has free returns. I say go for it, if not for you just return it. Its personally my favorite so far. (Check out my posts, I posted some pics of my white tote)

Hi sorry I'm quite new to the forum and I couldn't find your pics, which thread is it in pls?
I saw u have posted your brandy/Cleo veg tanned leather tote tho, that's gorgeous. I'm really hoping to see the saffiano close up cos usually I'm not a fan of the grainy leather (had assumed the tumbled leather is the grainiest of them)
