So the regular veg tanned bags are uncoated. It would be nice if they just put that on the website.

I wonder how unstructured a raw bag is. I have yet to see a brandy or camello raw.

I totally got that wrong then! I always thought of the coating as the patent.

The raws appear to be pretty structured though they probably soften a bit more than the lined after a lot of wear.

Hi Ladies,


I'm in Singapore and have never heard of Mansur Gavriel before today. But the other week, I saw a girl carrying the bucket bag and I totally fell in love!! Thought it was a Celine bag and searched high and low but couldn't find the bag. Today I was looking at The Real Real and saw the bucket bag again and finally found its name. Came across this thread and managed to pre-order myself a bucket bag from BG. Now can't wait for the bag to arrive!!

Thanks everyone for all the replies. My bag can only be returned for a credit and since we are on different coasts that isn't an alternative for me. It isn't my cup of tea either.

The first picture shows the bag just as it came. The second picture shows it with some stuffing and it's easy to see it still cannot show form. The third picture shows it fully stuffed and the fourth picture shows how much stuffing it took to get the bag to stand. Did I just misunderstand the body of the bag? I understood that it wasn't a stiff bag but I had no idea it would just completely fold flat. The color is beautiful.

Hi ladies! First of all, massive thank you cause I only managed to snag my first MG thanks to all the lovely tips from you guys!
Sooo, I know it may sound a little optimistic of me to think I'll be able to pick the color combo for the 2nd MG (lol only we know how hard it is to get our hands on one imagine the desired color ahah) but i've been thinking about getting one for my mom, since she's absolutely in love with mine.
She's an older lady but loooooooves flashy bags (her LV Murakami speedy is like my sister lol) so any suggestions in which color combo would suit her best? I'm leaning towards cammelo/something...

Personally I think the dolly interiors read as the flashiest to me. Or perhaps the oro? Or of course the all silver exclusive they did for opening ceremony...

the cammello/dolly is STUNNING!!! that little flash of bright pink is gorgeous. or even the black/marina (aqua blue)

the dolly was my first thought/choice but i've only seen it on the MG website! i've stalked everywhere but no one else seems to have it :thinkin:
