I need some advice. Just received my MG today in royal tumbled leather. I was surprised when I opened it because the bag has no ability to stand at all and just flops. I had not noticed this with anyone else's pictures.View attachment 2978853View attachment 2978854View attachment 2978855View attachment 2978856

The first picture shows the bag just as it came. The second picture shows it with some stuffing and it's easy to see it still cannot show form. The third picture shows it fully stuffed and the fourth picture shows how much stuffing it took to get the bag to stand. Did I just misunderstand the body of the bag? I understood that it wasn't a stiff bag but I had no idea it would just completely fold flat. The color is beautiful.
My mini flamma bucket was the same. I was surprised too but it is for my sister in law.

Hi All,
Does anyone have the tumbled leather in reg and mini? Would appreciate any comparison photos of the two. I'm very petite and wondering which size is most suitable for me.
And in general, how does the tumble leather wears?
Thanks

I've just received an email from Bergdorf confirmed the colour is rosa pink :woohoo:

Did you speak to anyone specific to confirm the color or have any contact info to pass along? I preordered the mysterious "medium green" hoping it's the calf coated moss green new for fall, and I'm waiting to hear back on what exactly I ordered. But seriously, the BG descriptions are totally out of whack - they seem to use coated, matte leather, and vegetable tanned interchangeably and all within the same item description? They have pics of the veg tanned bags that they've labeled coated??? Am I wrong in understanding that there is vegetable tanned and calf coated but no coated vegetable tanned, right? The colored interiors on the tanned ones are matte patent according to MG, not coated. And it doesn't help that the regular BG sales people just know whatever the online listing says, which I can read myself. Anyway, fingers crossed this is a calf coated moss green, or at least that someone can figure it out before the bag ships. :confused1:

Hi! I guess NAP wouldn't inform you this soon if it were the same bag since I just shipped one back this morning, but should it happen to be the same one, a photo is attached: black/flamma regular bucket. I had ordered two from them (black/ballerina through PS Dept and black/flamma directly through NAP website) and just wanted to compare colors in person since I'd never seen a bag except in pics. I kept the ballerina but thought both of these were in good condition. The shape seemed to be a little less symmetrical in the black/flamma (ie, it didn't cinch quite as evenly up top) but my husband said that was me being OCD. . . Neither seemed to have significant marks or scratches and that flamma was beautiful. I handled it and repackaged very carefully since I knew it could find another good home! Good luck! And thank you to ALL you ladies--y'all helped me get my hands on one of these beauties!

Thanks for your heads up! I asked the ladies at NAP and they said that the bag is brand new and was not previously purchase. It could be something that they tell anyone that's asks but since I am so desperate, I'll take the risk anyway! Hopefully I won't have to return it!!!

If you like the bag, a purse organizer would help give it some structure. I use Purse2Go in mine.
When it's stuffed it looks good...I would try a purse insert, too!

Can you post a picture of your bucket with a Purse2Go in it? Did you get the small? Thanks.

Sorry, should have been clearer. I don't have a tumble leather bag, but I know the liner would help give yours structure. I use mine in my Calf and Veg Tanneds. It keeps me organized and makes for quick bag swapping. I think this is the jumbo size in my reg Cammello/Royal.

Oh, exciting about the moss. I bet that is what it is since it ships in Oct. It is absurd how much guessing this is requiring though!
"Coated" refers the the interiors – also known as matte patent –*so it applies to both the veg tanned and lux calf. "Patent" is a coated leather.

Wow cool, that looks great. I'm kind of surprised a jumbo fits. I've had a purse2go before and changed it up and stopped using it awhile back. Maybe I should go dig it out and see it it will fit in my mini. lol I have a jumbo too.

I don't have a tumbled either. I did get one but I returned it, not for me. ;)

I get that, but nowhere on MG's own site do they ever refer to anything but the colored calf bags as coated, right?

It works great. I can't remember if I used this same size in the mini or not. I have a bunch of the liners in different sizes and colors.

I would have to look. I can't remember.

Darn, I missed the green on BG. :(

Keep checking. They have a lot of canceled orders and new opportunities pop up a lot.

I purchased a bag through PS Dept today and was charged a 5% gratuity fee. Is this standard or should I have increased it? Thanks in advance!

Do you mean tipping them more? I think the gratuity is really more of a commission for finding items at stores they do not have commission agreements with, so the customer pays the fee. So, no, you don't need to add more to the gratuity.

I always understood the "coated" is the outside of the calf coated bag. Because on the MG site both say interior matte patent.

This is what MG told me...

"The Bucket Bag's in Brandy, Cammello, and Black are made out of a natural, raw and uncoated vegetable tanned leather. The interior is a matte patent leather coating that is bonded with the exterior leather. This give the bags a more structured look.

The Bucket Bag's in Calf Coated are made out of a more elevated calf leather exterior, though they have the same matte patent leather interior as the vegetable tanned leather bags."

So the regular veg tanned bags are uncoated. It would be nice if they just put that on the website.

I wonder how unstructured a raw bag is. I have yet to see a brandy or camello raw.
