Thank you for that :) i actually exchanged the bag as it also turned out that there was a color difference in the leather. But got a new one about a week later and it's in perfect condition. Such a beautiful bag.

So you can definately look forward to getting your mini bucket. I have considered maybe getting one in the softer calf leather.. It looks super nice in the nude colors.

So...I've been wearing my MG bucket for almost a month and I don't baby my bags. Noticed all the little scuffs, finger nail scratches and the bag had became a bit dull. Since I've had saddles for most of my life, I decided to use a water-proofing conditioner that I use on my saddles. What the hell...I'll give it a try! I put this product on last night and let it dry overnight. The scuffs, scratches all blended in and the bag developed a nice patina. I splashed a few drops of water on the bottom and it beaded up so I assume there is a degree of waterproofing. With this color I was more concerned with water spots then anything else. Pleasantly surprised!!!
I then used this product on all my LV vachetta...I'm on a roll!

It looks beautiful!!

Hi everyone, just wondering if anyone has received bags that have a pock mark on it? Did you end up returning it or loving it? I'm not usually this fussed but when you run your hand over the leather you can feel the indent and it's right in the middle of the front of the bag :(

I am assuming you returned this because this is the exact bag I have been sent. The mark was in the exact same place. The leather is smoother and nicer than my first but it was clear it was a return as apart from that mark there are other signs of wear. I wish net a porter wouldn't sell for full price what others return in less than new/perfect condition. The tag isn't attached properly and so is most likely used and put back on to return in the time it had been with other buyers (not saying it was definitely you, could have been sold and returned by many until it got to me).
Anyway as for that mark I was able to get it out with leather conditioner. Completely gone. But I am still unsure about keeping it due to the condition I received it in and may just wait for the next release.

I was waiting on the restock but have decided to let it pass. I'm not in the US so I'm not going to stay up around the clock to snag one plus with the $ these days it ends up alot more expensive direct through them than it was last restock and also than some other retailers. Their customer service is bad, I am still waiting on a reply to two emails, one from before the last restock and one from last month. And they are final sale so if there was something wrong I couldn't return it and sending it back if faulty would be expensive. I am going to just see what retailers get what but my desire to get my hands on one is waning anyway after all this effort.

I did end up with a black/flamma bucket with a couple of light scratches at a really good discount so I'm happy with that. A bit of conditioner will fix those anyway and once I use it there will be signs of wear so for the price I paid I'm happy with it.

Good idea with this thread :)

I have a question....
As I've mentioned in the other thread I have just received my large bucket in black. The leather on the back however is more rough and feels almost dry. It's very noticable when I run my hands down the bag.... On the front side it's totally smooth and the leather is a bit shiny. On the back it feels a bit more dry and there is a little "resistans"... Almost like very small scails on a fish if that makes any sence. I dont know if the back leather is just more structured or if it's in fact just dry.

Have any of you had this problem and if yes what did you do? I would also like to hear from those of you who haven't experienced it but maybe have some advice :)

I have actually considered returning it but since there is nothing to exchange it for, I would hate to be back on the waiting list :/
And also I dont know if this is just something I will have to accept with this kind of untreaded leather.

Hope some of you can inlighten me, because I do really love this bag
I LOVE using leather milk, http://nymag.com/thecut/2013/09/best-bet-chamberlains-leather-milk-conditioner.html I recommend doing it every other month. I spritz a bit of rose water (heritage) on it before spplying a table spoon of the leather milk , rubbing it in throughout the body of it for a about a half hour.

I am excited that I am receiving my bucket bags soon! I wanted to know what everyone is doing to protect your bag? Or are we not supposed to do anything to our bags? I've used Apple Conditioner and Vectra spray for my balenciaga bags but for vegetable tanned leather I am not sure what I can do to minimize scratches/spots. (For black/flamma I am not as scared but I fear for my cammello/rosa bag lol. It will be the lightest bag I own)

Hi! I just received my black /flamma bucket bag and want to know what the best care tips are? Any suggestions! Its just so gorgeous I don't want anything to happen to it! Can't wait to start carrying it!

This thread is not very active it seems :< I got the same one and I think I will try spraying vectra. It's worked well with my balenciaga bags and suede bags and shoes so I think i will take the chance. I will receive my item when I go home from work and I will spray and dry it for a day and start carrying. Please let me know if you come across any information :)

Thanks,

Thanks,

Seems obvious but rain and direct sunlight are MG bags' worst enemies. Not to mention sharp objects! Be careful with your nails!

I have similar totes and they dont strain the shoulders.. I have a MG tote too but havent used it yet.
Thank you! I don't gravitate toward open totes like such but something about the simple and clean design from MG seems to interest me this time round. Any bag care tips or leather conditioner do you use to prevent water stains or scratches?

I have seen a couple of different suggestions like snow proof weatherproofing, colonil weatherproofing spray and cadillac cream to combat scratches.....I have all three so I will let you know which works best. Someone mentioned baby wipes but I am not sure what that method is.
