My mini mini was getting dirt or something in some of the scratches and on the black it was really visible. I got the Chamberlai's leather milk #1 as recommended here and it worked like a charm! My bag looks so supple and shiny now. Absolutely love it!

Hi, lovely tPFers! I'm thinking about purchasing a tumbled leather tote in sand color... :thinkin: Do you guys know if tumbled leather is coated or treated in some way? Do you think it could be too delicate in case of rain/color transfer? Would it be necessary any kind of treatment? I'd really appreciate your thoughts and experience. TIA! :flowers:

I have a tumble tote in black and it's my go-to "rain" bag as I feel like it's one of the sturdiest bags I own. The tumble leather in general is really easy to wear and use as you don't have to worry about getting marks on it.

I don't have any experience with the lighter colored tumble, but I would use a spray-protectant on it to prevent and color-transfer.

Thank you so much, heartnaspade! :smile1::flowers: As I'm in Buenos Aires, I'll ask my local cobbler about products to protect the leather then. ;)

I have had my full size brandy bucket for a month and a half and love it! The quality is wonderful but because it is vegetable tanned is prone to scratches. What I find works very well is the Bickmore Bick 4 leather conditioner. It conditions, cleans, polishes and has a stain repellant also. My bag was full of scratches and this took them away. They are practically invisible now. The leather looks beautiful after applying it. I also sprayed it with Gard More after to protect it. I have been caught in light rain a few times and the spots show up at first but then disappear! I am very pleased with both these products.

Hello Everyone!

So i just recently bought the bucket bag in rosa/ rosa and by accident I got a pen mark on the inside! Needless to say, I was not very happy with myself. Any idea how to get it out?

Thank you!

Try a little bit of nail polish remover - this has worked for me in the past. I would only use it on the outside patent though, not on the calf leather.

I tried that and while it made the mark not as prevalent it is still there :( but at least its the inside of the bag so not as evident!

I am not sure if i should try a little more remover or just let it be.

Hello everyone,

I just recieved my Mini Black with metallic Gold interior. I rember reading on the net somewhere (annoyingly I can't remember exactly where) that you shouldn't condition and or user a water protectant on a bag with a metallic finish? Has anyone heard this or has anyone with the black & either the metallic gold or silver lining treated their bag with any products? I live in an area that rains somewhat frequently so I'd love to hear what you guys think/suggest?

If you spray only the outside of the leather and not the interior it should be ok.

Wanted to share my cammello bucket that I have been using everywhere! Rain or shine this has been my goto bag lately.

I haven't been babying this bag at all, it's been in the rain, scorching sun and scratched by my sons finger nails (he seems to enjoy doing that whenever he gets the chance)

I love how personal it looks, and the more tanned it gets the more I love it.

The back side though isn't as tanned, I might have to flip it around so it gets an even tan haha.

Hi everyone! I have a fairly new large bucket in black/flamma and seem to be getting makeup smudges on it. You know the drill: it's hot out, you touch your face, get foundation on your fingers and next thing you know your precious bag looks dirty. I'm generally able to wipe the smudges off with wet paper towels but noticed that my most recent smudges aren't budging. The smudging isn't too noticeable but I'm still in the obsessive cleanliness phase of ownership. SOS! Anyone have a good suggestion on how to remove this?
