Depends on how close of a second choice it is. Sounds to me like you’d be settling though, with how many you’ve declined. That usually leads to regrets.

I still want both for sure. It's just that if I buy the Kelly Danse next year, it won't hurt me as much due to it being way less expensive than the B25 Touch after the price increase.

This may or may not be true. Its impossible to say at this point. Hermes seems to be disproportionately raising the price of anything with a "Kelly" in the name so the danse may increase more than you expect. Also the KD isn't technically a quota bag so its definitely possible to still get both before the 2025 price increase.

In my home store, KD is considered a QB and my SA's exact words are "If you take danse, then Birkin next year!"

Well your SA should be able to see if any noir Touch B25 PHWs are still outstanding on order. If she says she can't tell, then I would start not believing anything she says at all...

💯 why not ask what it would take to get the B25 this year. In the US, SAs can still offer two QBs annually to clients. We’re also only in July, so there is plenty of time, either to save for next years increase or to be offered before year end.

You're choosing the word "hurt" to describe the impact of these transactions on your finances. If these are your forever bags, what's a few extra months of waiting and saving?

I'm torn. I really want my B25 Touch Noir PHW most this year (I already declined the B25 in other specs more than once), with the Kelly Danse being a close second choice, but I was just offered a choice of Kelly Danse Ostrich Noir PHW, Kelly Danse Gold on Gold, and Kelly Danse Etoupe PHW, evercolor. The main issue is I don't want (cannot afford) to wait until the next price increase to get my B25.

I just said no to all three. 💔

Yes, these are going to be forever bags, and that's why I usually save up for them. I just declined all three danses to wait for "the one"

Can you elaborate on the first sentence? Since early this year, she's been saying that I'm good for exotics but that my wishlist is pretty specific. And suddenly, everyone wants noir with PHW, so it's even harder.

What you are asking really belongs in H relationship thread, but in the context of (NY) offers, this is my opinion/experience only. NY always orders a lot of noir PHW bc this color/hw is the number 1 combination sold. Just have a conversation as to the likelihood of your top choice B25 this year (is she likely to be authorized/ are you likely to be qualified) ; whether you should pick the danse up now; and why you can’t have a second QB or what would it take to get to your second specific ask. Since you’ve been offered a B25 Fauve Barenia earlier this month? And three Kelly danse bags, I’m sure that you are top of mind.

In NY, it is very possible for a non VIP to get two offers a year. I don’t have more to add; perhaps H relationships would glean more responses for you. If the price increase is a real concern, I don’t know what to tell you. When I was offered a touch lizard vert Rousseau B25 ant FSH this year it was under 13K EU. So, perhaps 30% more in the US, IDK. Unfortunately, many of us cannot control when we get an offer.

ETA: exotics, including touch, are considered a bit easier bc of the higher price point, but your SA has considerations unrelated to your circumstances like the totality of her other sale metrics and the other clients who have not yet gotten their first QBs etc. (I don’t mean to imply these are the only ones; they are simply top of mind right now)

Yes in the US they can see what’s coming. They don’t know sometimes if a bag has been already called/assign to a client or if the SM/MD has plans for a specific bag. But they know when and what’s coming.

They can know what's been ordered. I don't think its as simple as "a list" of incoming bags, and I think some SMs are more secretive than others, but if they research it, they should be able to find the info. Then sometimes things don't come, and they won't have any indication whatsoever of when it will come (literally could be years or never sometimes if H stops producing a spec), but yes, they should be able to find out what is still outstanding from Podium orders.
