Yes I feel the same way as well. My SA has zero small talk, doesn’t even ask about my family or how my holidays are.. It doesn’t feel like a luxury shopping experience at all and it’s a little disappointing
I really hate hearing that. Sort of pisses me off for you. That's not the way it should be. I wouldnt give my business if I didn't feel valued. There are too many options to settle for substandard service. Even Hermes.

Need some different perspective if I may ask for help:
I bought a MK more than 2 years ago and used it I believe 3 to 4 times.
I want to let it go , maybe because I feel overwhelmed now but I feel like It makes no sense to keep it , while using it so rarely. And I have enough other bags.
Whenever I try to use it, I choose another bag in the end. It is beautiful but tiny.
My friend is trying her best to convinced me to keep it , but I feel , it is exactly what FOMO looks like: keeping it because it will be difficult to get back if tomorrow I want a MK, or later for my daughter..
I am struggling because FOMO is to me a big part of this Hermes equation and it is something I want to get rid of..
I would be interested to here your opinion.
Thanks
I was in similar situation with my birkin sellier. It was boxy and bumped into things just walking around the house. It sat on my shelf about a year and a half and I decided to let it go. I had a problem with H soon after that as H found out I sold this bag. It was a difficult situation and pretty much end of H relationship for me but somewhat it’s a better and healthier option to stop playing H game. Without that unpleasant situation, I might carry on spending £10-£20k per year on bags I don’t need. Now I have the fund I saved in 2023 and I know 2024 will be quite a good financial year. I no longer have to worry about “What if I get offer a bag this month? Do I have enough saving to pay?”

Thank you for sharing this @ArielS .
What are we supposed to do if we dont like a bag anymore?
I mean, if you sold it right after getting out of the boutique maybe ( even then it is your property)
But after 1.5 year, they are expecting you to keep an expensive item and let it collect dust at home..
This is probably worth a whole new thread .
Sorry that you went through this .

I came back because I am curious to know How they manage this situation ? Did they say sorry you sold a bag so you are not a client anymore? Or is it only bags they could not sell to you anymore?

So you guys, I have a little update. I went up to my local store and picked up the Farandole necklace yesterday, as well as the red envelopes. I told my SA that I will not be spending at all for the next few months. She asked me about a non QB that I was open previously to buying if it comes in the exact specs I want. I said "Forget it for now. I don't even need that." Then she asked me if she should notify me if my next QB comes in with the specs I requested. I reminded her that I have some money set aside for that in a little envelope called the splurge fund. (Which she already knew about). I told her that I will reach out to her when I'm ready to make other purchases. She seemed completely fine with it as she is not the type that will try to get me to buy stuff. (She knows it doesn't work. I only buy what I like and nothing else)

The SA should order you 38.5 if you really want the shoes!
This got me thinking if it was Hermes who spoiled us with their beautiful products or us customers who would buy anything to please the SA.

I too re-considering the preloved market. Many things are at much better prices including some big H bags. Would you mind sharing what you got and who you trusted sell

I’ll dm you.
Can you dm me as well? This is really leaving a bad taste in my mouth with Hermes. Doesn't seem fair at all!

I got

I got two from rebag.com. I've been super impressed by the condition of the bags and I like their return policy. My best find was Vestiairecollective.com. I almost purchased this Fendi last year but the $7800 price tag had me gagging. I got it for $1800 bc it had a small tear on the corner which you can't even see and still had the plastic on the hardware. I got both the Dior saddle bag and Bottega suede cassette for $1500. Both were in excellent condition in the outlet section on Rebag.
Omg I was laughing at “gagging” and you look beautiful in the mirror with that Fendi bag. It looks like a magazine!

@Crapples, I find that I have to be very direct with my SAs when I am on a buying hiatus because they are CONSTANTLY texting me stuff that comes in. Constantly. For example, I just got that leather shearling vest, and not 2 days later, I get a text about the Medor earrings. And actually I forgot about the sandals in between. They’re not pressuring me directly, but I hate saying no every time. And they are texting me new stuff that arrives or something that I mentioned earlier, so not random stuff that I would not be interested in. I get texts for non quota bags and other SLGs as well, so sometimes it is really hard to say no. So when I am on hiatus, I need to tell them that so they leave me alone for a couple of weeks! When I first started shopping H, I was not as good at saying no, unfortunately. Now I have no problems!
