What savings are you talking about? I'm not trying to save money, I'm just trying to understand the behavior of my SA.
I'll wait a bit then and see what happens. Thank you
I think @Daydrmer was referring to your comment about wanting the bag before the price increase. That means you'll save a few hundreds right?

My SA in Paris is someone who has been with Hermes for more than 20 years. And she said they all have to ask for permission to offer a bag if you don't have a leather appointment nowadays. She had done this in the past for her clients but company policy has changed.

ah I understand better, I didn't understand at first
It’s still +1000€ increase, that’s not nothing😭
I also got my bags with RDV SA who asked for the manager's agreement but I have the impression that it depends on the SA. When we have a great relationship we don't ask you to go through the lottery

You have insider info on the upcoming price increases? Typically they only increase by 100-300 euros per year so I’d be curious why you say thousands…

Unless you’re interested in exotic skins, most bags did not go up that much. But that’s still not enough for me to possibly send multiple messages to my SA when they are already being hounded. I see in a follow up this is a SA you’ve only been working with this year. As a “new to them” client there is only so much they can do to help you.

I understand the want. I’m in a similar predicament myself, hoping to get a bag by year end, but patience has been the key to my success and in the end my SAs have come through. Maybe not in the timeline I would have wanted but I’ve faired better than most. I think being patient and giving my SAs space when needed has worked out for me.

I share the price difference between 2022 and 2023 for a Kelly Epsome there is a $700 difference

I'm patient, I only ask the question to find out. The proof is that I didn't send a message back to the SA and I do nothing except write here

Babe that’s still not $1000+ but we don’t need to keep going back and forth. All the best to you, hope you get what you want.

i just wanted to add, not all SAs can help with leather. And, unfortunately, 2-3K euro per visit is not a lot of spend to bend the rules. Even loyal, longstanding clients may not be able to get bags in this environment. If your SA has left and she has referred you to a new SA, it’s a bit more challenging. I’m not sure from your post if you have shopped with the new SA yet, and esp. if not, I think it would be best to discuss bag queries in person.

if I were in this scenario, I might simply make an appt to shop as per normal) and if I like enough things to purchase, ask if she can facilitate a bag or a leather appt in person.

ETA: I do not mean to imply there is any quid pro quo between shopping other depts and getting a bag appointment bc my experience is the opposite. Just that it may be perceived as a more natural request when made in person.

Hello;
Thanks for your feedback.
In fact, I have already shopped more than 6 times with the new SA, buying in her department and other departments (2k-3k€ per appointment). On the last two appointments I told her about the bag, before the last appointment she told me to try the lottery and on the 2nd she told me to keep trying and if it doesn't work I send him a message to ask his help early december. I followed exactly what she told me but in the end she ghosted me

I've been following your story and sorry to hear you are going through that. December is one of the busiest (if not the busiest) month for retail so I would give your SA benefit of the doubt. I truly believe sometimes they have more clients than they can handle daily. I also understand that the SA have a lot of rules to follow and a lot of times they can't be an open book and share their situation entirely. I am a very impatient person in general but when it comes to shopping at Hermes, I learn that patience is the virtue. Through time, I learn not to overthink the non-responsive messages because let's get real, I miss replying work email here and there on a busy week too. I know that your situation is super frustrating but I hope you get some good news on your next appointment. Good luck and I am rooting for you!

Thank you for your comforting message, it warms my heart

Like you, I am impatient, but with Hermès I learned what patience is . That's why I don't send more than one message at a time, I perfectly understand the work they have especially in this month.

Just to chim in my 2 cents.

Patience is a virtue but empathy+ communication is da bomb. I communicate a lot of empathy towards my SAs and they become more up front. They will reply but doesn’t mean that it’s always a yes. Anyway, trust that your SA is working hard for you and tell him/her so in your next appointment.

I think FSH is really cracking down on who it gives bags to and that you are lucky to have any relationship with any FSH SA at all. The leather SAs, especially, have been more reluctant to give out their contact details. I advise you to try once more with your current SA (texting for an appointment) and if nothing comes of that, just go in and see what happens. Whoever helps you will have access to your purchase history so if it was meant to be, it will.
Happiness arrived today, I was able to have the SA today in store and I was finally able to have a bag not really the one I wanted but in the same theme
Thank you for your advices
