Hi - I'm a bit unsure about where I stand with my SA so thought I'd share my story and get your take. I started shopping with my current SA about a year ago. At our first appt she asked me about my wishlist (my previous SA at the store who left never started one for me). And the next few times I went in she'd always initiate a conversation about my wishlist (e.g., to confirm/update it). She offered me a QB in the second half of last year (not the style I requested but beautiful, coveted color and size), but we had to pass because I wasn't around that day and it didn't seem like she could hold it for me. First appt after that, we again spent most of our time talking about my wishlist and she said that she'd prioritize me and hoped to get me something by Mother's Day. Over the months since that first offer I bought a few things remotely and pre-ordered more items coming to my store. We had a very pleasant working relationship.
I didn't text her before Mother's Day because I didn't want to pressure her but definitely had my hopes up. The day came and went. Since then I've texted to ask whether they had in store an item I saw on the website, and got a flat no. She had helped me with online orders and charge sends before, so I was a little surprised (though this was a relatively small item so maybe not worth her time). Then I texted to ask for an appt. When I followed up one week later after getting no response, she told me there was no availability and someone else would be able to help me.
I'm not sure what to think about our recent interactions, but it's making me think twice about how to continue working with her. Is it commonplace for an SA to volunteer someone else to help (instead of trying to find a time that works)? Should I ask her about my chances of getting a QB this year?
I genuinely like what I buy so I don't count pre-spend. It's not particularly high, but since I got a good offer before I've assumed it's sufficient.
Appreciate any thoughts. TIA!
