Probably a slightly naive question... Is there shown anywhere in the system who your SA is? I have recently started working with a new SA and asked if she'd take me as a regular customer, she said "yes", but I wonder if you are technically associated with an SA somewhere on your profile.
There's an SA attached to each purchase, but that's it. Other SAs would probably assume whichever name shows up the most is your main SA. It's never officially official, more of a mutual understanding.

You wouldn't need an official breakup either if you wanted to move onto someone new.

got it, thanks for the explanation. Still trying to navigate the "mystery of Hermes". I just quickly looked at my receipts and it looks like there is no SA attached to my latest receipt: I remember my SA cashed me out so she is shown as a "Cahsier" and there is no SA line at all.

It’s the first 4 or 5 digit code on the 2nd line of your purchased item shown on ur receipt. There is no name.

: SAs name under every item purchased (for US purchases)
i don’t recall if my FSH receipts or receipts from Asia have the SA name on them.

re your profile, this is your shopping history for an individual store. Although it’s not attached to an individual SA, a relationship with an individual SA can be helpful for bag advocacy with the SM. In the UK or places where there is a wish list, I’m not sure an individual SA relationship is as important

Interesting to read how the receipts differ across countries. My receipts from my home store in Singapore have a 5 digit alpha-numeric code on the second line, before the H product code. The alphabets correspond to my SA’s initials. Soft copies/photocopies of receipts from Europe I have received from sellers when buying past seasons’ twillies have a 5 digit number before the H product code.

Yep. It’s going to be different for different countries. In the US it’s a line that says “sales associate #……. name of SA” (you can find some photos if you Google like “Hermes receipt” to get an idea).

@Kate911 yeah they also change from time to time. And even within same country can be different. I’m sure that even if the receipt doesn’t denote it it’s noted in H’s own system, that’s how they know the SA is credited with making the sale (not the same as cashier which denotes who rang up the register; of course normally it is the same person but not in all cases, for example if you did a charge send with your SA to get item from another store, the destination SA would be the cashier but yours gets the sales credit).

agree about being very polite. My DH is not a AP or PP aficionado ( he loves ALange & Sohne), but he was told in no uncertain terms by a head of PP retail that certain watches were pre sold before they ever hit the sales floor. (The green dial nautilus, one of the more extreme examples, is now selling on the secondary market for 1,300x original retail). The importance of being nice is whether they will think of you should one of these watches, or something similar, in the future, be rejected by a vip client (To essentially get your foot in the door for future watch releases). Though being very nice will not be enough if you have not become a bona fide client by the time something spectacular rolls around.
I believe it - a least 90% of the PP's at my AD, if not pre sold, are allocated to existing clients. As we all know, Hermes is the same - most quota bags are earmarked for someone.

That being said, I truly believe in the 'being nice keeps you top of mind + may result in a interesting offer' as I've been the recipient of this numerous times. At Hermes, some surprise offers stick (Kelly Picnic) while other times my SA's are playing the "this is pretty interesting/rare but it's not quite you......however I thought I'd ask regardless" (HAC 50 Endless Road, Birkin Cargo, etc). I tell all my SA's I always appreciate a peek, as I'm not above taking a VIP's rejects .

The most interesting offer in the last while was a diamond Nautilus. I thanked the AD GM for thinking of me and giving me a look, and then laughed because a diamond Nautilus is so far from any PP I've purchased or been interested in. It was snapped up the next day, so someone got lucky!

I’ve been reading that charge sends are not that helpful to have in your spend profile, but I was wondering what you do if your boutique is low on inventory. Usually when I show my SA something I’ve seen online, she mentions that they don’t have it in stock but can order it, so I purchase that way. However, I realized that the majority of my purchases are charge sends, and I wonder how unfavorable that is for getting a QB offer? And if it is, should I perhaps start saying that I’ll wait for an item to come in store rather than ordering now?

It’s not “unfavorable“ it’s just not as perfect as it could be for everyone involved. With inventory the way it is these days, everyone has numerous charge sends on their account and it’s perfectly fine. If you wait for something to be in you own store’s stock, you’ll likely end up never buying anything (and your SA will probably think you’re nutty and be annoyed because they are the one missing out on the sale for an item that will likely never arrive for you). The only time in store availability vs a charge send should come into your decision making is if there is an item where you truly cannot make up your mind which colorway you want. Say, you cant decide on gold vs etoupe orans. Your store has them in one color but the other color would have to be sent. It’s slightly in your favor to buy the in store stock ones. Honestly, if you’re at the point of worrying about these tiny details to the point where you’re considering abandoning your much-wanted purchases, Hermes might not be a healthy game for you.

Thanks for your input. I’m glad to hear it’s a detail I don’t have to consider. It was something I’ve seen mentioned in threads, that store managers care about selling their own store’s inventory and that ultimately store managers make the decision on bag offers, so other people made it seem important but glad it isn’t. I buy things that catch my fancy but they’re not “much-wanted,” so I feel flexible about what I buy, it’s just sizing that usually prevents me from buying in store.
